Easiest to hit Hybrid

rickeyg

Recommended Posts

I have a 2019 Big Bertha 6H that is easy to hit.  Very forgiving.  I mishit a shot yesterday and the ball rolled up to the edge of the green.

It has a new adjustable hosel that isn't compatible with earlier Callaway hosels.

Golf is a strange game.  Just my 2nd 9 hole round and I made three bogeys in a row out of ugly first shots.

I've found the Sim Max and Sim2 Max hybrids super easy to hit with some draw bias. More draw bias than my G425s and similarly easy to hit.

My Cleveland Launcher Halo are easy to hit, accurate and long, and I can draw them as easily as I can fade them. There are still some out there on clearance. The new Halo XL should be just as good, if not better. They replaced my M6 rescues, which I struggled to get anything other than a fade from. Oh, yeah... for sale, set of three M6 Rescue. 😏

Find yourself an old Nickent 3DX (any variant). As to the draw bias, if you listen to people here they all have hook bias. Don't listen to them. It's the Indian, not the arrow.

Another vote for the Callaway Super Hybrid. Easy launch and distance. The larger profile makes it very forgiving.

I’m far from the idiot yelling “get fit” in every thread (I’ve never been fit), but to act like there is no such thing as a draw bias is wrong. I went from M4 hybrids where I severely hooked every third shot (as in, lost golf ball hook) to the G410 (4) / G425 (5) where it’s never that severe, and more like every fifth shot.

Maybe “draw / fade bias” is overblown, but getting a club you like and are comfortable with is important. Technically Indian, not the arrow still (I agree), but mechanical engineering is real … your swing is a machine and the club you choose to use is a seriously important cog.

I went back to an M6 hybrid and find it easy to hit and versatile compared to some hybrids I have had (most recently the Rogue).  For me it is easy to draw but that might mean it is too much for some as I am not a natural draw flight player.

OP, you need to try them all with various shafts to find what works for you.

I love my 818 H2... for me it's laser straight and workable both ways.. It will only be replaced if/when it cracks on me..

finding one without draw bias is very tough

clk is so flat in it's lie angle, it fits that bill nicely

this new apex ut looks really good as well

ping 425 with flat setting is solid as well, but heads are quite shallow

have high hopes for the callaway epic super hybrid as well, but find it difficult to believe there isn't some draw bias there

as a natural draw'er of the ball, this is the Most important element for the hybrid or fairway wood for me

My EXS Pro is the easiest club to hit in my bag and has swappable sole weights that can be set for fade or draw bias and in range testing they definitely work. In fade setting I hit it dead straight and long.  Draw setting wants to turn over 5-8 yards left.
