Tiger Update

He's not going to come back until he can compete. If anything, we all should have learned that. And his posted video makes it obvious that he's going to give coming back a real try.

I have a friend that had a displaced and compound fracture of his lower leg, and he was older than Tiger and in worse shape. He was playing better than before his accident after a year. It's possible.

But walking 72 will be the trick.

Good to see this. Justin Thomas said Tiger was going to make a comeback, it’s just a matter of how well his body will comply.

I don't understand why he's pushing it, his right leg looks so soft

I’m assuming Tiger is following doctor’s orders now, but Tiger has always pushed aside medical advice. We’ve heard unbelievably little from Tiger and his camp the last 9 months, so letting the public know that you’re improving and making strides keeps crazy speculation down.

Ya there's no way he had a green light from doctors

Well, that is far further along than I would have expected.  Some people are likely already engraving Tiger's name on the Masters trophy for 2022.

You can expect all you want. That doesn't mean it will happen. Nobody knows when or what he will do. He may fully recover and decide to retire. He may not recover fully and try to play. He may not recover and retire. None of the three ways it could go will bother me. I don't worship him like you.

that's different than : "NOPE. Walking with a noticeable limp. Not gonna happen this year or next. If ever."

and that aged well.....lmao

Are you talking about right now or in his past?

In the past he was a little loose in following doctor's orders.  I think since the last couple of back surgeries, he has followed their instructions very well.  He knows that screwing up now would be career and likely life altering.

The mere fact that this came from Tiger's Instagram account means that you can be sure that Tiger likes the results of his practice session and likes how he is hitting the ball.  That all being said, hitting balls with a shorter iron is far from walking a full tournament (72 holes plus practice, plus whatever else).  But it's a lot closer to reality than anyone thought 24 hrs ago.

Was just gonna say, he just made his 2022 $10MM PIP money by posting that swing 🤣

That probably boosted his spot, but after February's crash he had to high up the list already
