Looks like right now it’s $450.  No longer prototypes.

Thanks.  Lol… I was just there last night and they were not $450 before upgrades.  Cool, will now pull the trigger.

I'm a little bummed that the production version of the mezz is so much cheaper than the proto.  Considering the proto has only been available for a few months, and now it's a $150 price drop to the release version seems like a slap in the face to the early adopters.  It's not like the proto is exclusive in any way that adds more value.  One one hand I'm glad they made the price more reasonable and will get more people on board with LAB golf, but it's a definite expensive pill to swallow that I could have waited a few months for A LOT cheaper. I even have to purchase a new headcover cuz my proto headcover is massively mis-sized. Don't get me wrong... I love my putter and ain't giving it up for s**t, but the money discrepancy kinda stings.  That's all.

I’m a huge fan of LAB but I can’t say I disagree with you. $150 drop is tough to swallow for sure when I could have games my 2.1 just a little longer

Tricky to get all this stuff right. Ultimately your proto is special and will hold value accordingly. Also, it was made with tighter tolerances by our best most experienced builders and actually was vetted by me personally and everyone in the shop in an effort to hone our ability to make these. In theory, the production model should be

I’m leaning to a black shaft in Mezz, any input in white vs black?

Dumb question but is this model and/or the bigger model face balanced? Assuming yes but would like a confirmation.

Not a dumb question. However, face balance is only good if we play golf on an alternate universe where golf greens are vertical & we're all Spidermen & Spiderwomen...

All LAB putters are different, they are all not face balance BUT lie angle balance which means the face is square to the stroke path, check it out here:

Here's Sam demonstrating face balance, toe hang and lie balance:

Opinions. The black head/shaft may seem more cohesive, while white shaft could leave the head looking independent.

I ordered my proto in the stock black KBS, partly for keeping costs down, partly for keeping a uniform all-black look... but I have been emailing with Matt at LAB about possibly swapping/rebalancing with my 2.1 that has a white LAGolf shaft. I think the KBS is good, and it's hard to explain but the stability effects of the stiffer graphite LAGolf shaft feels better to me.

So my 2 cents would be decide more based on performance over looks. I don't think the white shaft of black Mezz head would look bad but to each their own. I know what the performance of the shaft will do and I'd look at that with more weight

Are these only going to be available in black? I was hoping to get one in blue so I could be reminded of my daughter while playing. Regardless, with that price point, I may just pull the trigger with some clubs I can trade in.

Yeah for me, I prefer the uniform look of black putter/black shaft. I think someone earlier in the thread posted with a white shaft.

I debated just going with the no charge KBS matte black, but ultimately I've liked the feel of upgraded putter shafts (had a couple of BGTs), and the Accra felt like a good cost/performance compromise.
