Collin Morikawa odds has gone from +1800 to +1200. Does this mean many people are picking him to win?

Yep; books adjust lines by betting action. They're not in the business of losing money 😂

Following the dotcom bust in the early 00s, I moved to Vegas for the first time and wound up working for an offshore sports betting spot. Built some of the OG platforms. Now, we have places like DK with a market cap of $20BB. Knew I shoulda stayed in that business.

Scott indicated Titleist engineers took a different tack: They made CAD (computer-aided design) copies of his beloved 680s and CNC-machined what he called, “basically the same clubs.”

I’d hang those and Justin’s new irons on the wall as art 😍 Titleist definitely gets blades right.

I was poking fun at @PHILsThemannnn misspelling of desert.  He meant to say there would be a "desert shooutout" given that the course is in Las Vegas (a desert).  However, he wrote "dessert shootout" hence a competition amongst desserts (cakes, candies, pies, etc...).  One of those frequent typos or misspelling that makes English such a "fun" language to deal with for both native and non-native speakers alike.

I have to stop and think all the time, now is it lose or is it loose, words like that. But I guess thats the same for people all over the place. People that try to learn our uncouth language makes those cute little mistakes too. I guess, having seen like 2000 american films and TV series and working multinational for a long time should teach you something, though.

Rickie was -6 today, 66.

I think the longest putt he made was 9’ 7”.

According to the stats on pgatour.com he LOST 1.066 strokes on the green today.

He missed an eagle putt from 13’ 10”, and birdie putts from 15’ 8”, 11’, 10’ 3”, and 4’ 5”…

I’m pretty sure there are not many 66s where you lose strokes on the green.

Good to see his tee-to-green game working!

As I predicted, a birdiefest.  This course has a very similar problem as TPC Summerlin.  If there is no wind the scores will be really low.  Things got considerably harder yesterday in the afternoon when the wind came up slightly.  If you set up the course harder and the wind really comes up, it becomes almost impossible.  Putting gets much harder, too.  I played in the Pro-Am one year at TPC when the wind really came up and the average pro score was 78.  My pro hit driver to one of the par 3's.  That par 3 #11 at the Summit (where Spieth, holed the pitch shot for 2) gets substantially more difficult when there is a 30 mph wind coming from left to right and the only way to hit the green is to hang it out over the water.  There is a reason they play these tournaments in October in Las Vegas.  Best weather and least wind.

That's what makes the WRX customer experience different (and better) regardless of the golf or dessert course.

KMitchell been eating his Wheaties

He -6 through 9. 2 more guys with 31s at the turn.

Although you have to question why he has won only once in 4 years. Will he be able to hold the lead or just fade away on the weekend. +7.5 stroke gained on putting after 27 holes is insane and hard to maintain.

    • APPLY NOW: L.A.B. Golf MEZZ.1 Putter (Early Access) Member Testing! 10 Testers Needed!
L.A.B. Golf is choosing ten GolfWRX members to receive their MEZZ.1 putter early and put their brand new product to the test before reporting back to the community about what they see. The selected testers will be one of the first to experience the MEZZ.1 from L.A.B. GOLF, their newest Lie Angle Balanced design, ahead of it's January 2022 launch!

About The L.A.B. Golf Mezz.1 Putter
MEZZ.1 is our new mid-mallet putter that’s fully CNC machined from a billet of 6061 aircraft aluminum (body) and 303 stainless steel (midsection) to create our best-feeling — and we think best looking — putter to date. It includes 10 weights (eight on the bottom, two on the sides) that allow us to individually build each putter to a golfer’s exact specifications.

      How To Apply
In a post below, answer the following questions.

      1. City, State?
      2. Handicap?
      3. What is your current putter?
      4. Have you ever used a L.A.B. Golf putter?
      5. Why do you want to review the MEAZZ.1 putter?
      6. Do you agree to participate in an ongoing testing thread, posting reviews and photos?

That's it! @labgolf and GolfWRX will choose the testers in about 2 weeks! This testing event is for good-standing members in the USA only!
