Actually looks pretty good, the glossy crown that get's scratches from soft towels has been a major gripe of mine about Callaway drivers for a long time. Just a bit bummed the MAX LS is not getting a swing weight port..

First time?  Yes, Callaway is not happy with someone leaking the photos.  People sign non-disclosures to see the releases, and someone broke the NDA by releasing the photos.  Same goes for TM releases, and other manufacturers.  People have lost their jobs because of this.

 

Mods removed photos last weekend, and this weekend.  They will likely be removed soon from here as well.  Another year of release "whack-a-mole", with photos and "DM me pics" posts.

You are obviously 100% correct, but I wonder if somebody somewhere isn't letting a few more of these slide since the pics seem to be more well received than they have been in the past (cause matte is awesome!). 🙂

I think the way to go is a series of slow teases kinda like we got with the mizuno wedges and irons this year. Builds chatter and hype.

I have to say.  If that's the plan, it's working haha.  I was so committed to not replace my driver next year.  My season is coming to an end but golf is still on the mind.  Seeing these pics has made me completely rethink my commitment.  Now, chances are I wouldn't have been able to hold out.  But, at least I know now that I am more than likely buying this.  Especially if they have a Triple D right at launch.

I think looking at who is in cycle and who they have good relations with may give clues.

 

Ping tends to keep things pretty close to the vest, so I doubt that they are talking.

 

I'm guessing that it would be Cobra (relationship) or TM (time to move on from Sim).

 

It could be Callaway.   But if it was, I'd also expect design cues that trumpet the new tech, and at least on these pics I'm not seeing that.

Their cadence is typically a cast line every two years that match with the woods lineup.  2 years ago, it was Mavrik woods and irons.  2 years before that it was Rogue woods and irons.  I expect there to be new Rogue irons this year to replace the Mavrik.  But, have no official word on that.  Just based on their past releases.

I saw pricing today for the 3 main models. MAX, MAX D, MAX LS $549.99.  Plus a TD was available but didn't get a price.
