Wish Scotty would bring out a Legacy range

Hi All

Anyone feel that all the OTR Scotty Camerons these days are just Boring.

I'm fed up seeing all the same Stainless putter releases. Just glad he has moved away from the inserts.

Would anyone love to see a Legacy range. Like some Pro platinums. More oil can designs, black oxides.

My personal Favourite was the Circa 62 No1. I'm going to break mine out and think I will have it refinished.

I couldn't agree more , there is just something about those line of putters. So much more appealing to my eye.

I don't think Cameron will ever again bring out a carbon steel putter in a production line. Too many complaints about rust. They don't even offer a black oxide finish from their restoration shop anymore.

Yeh its such a shame, to be honest I don't even mind a little patina, one of my circas is completely bronzed put , no surface rust just colour. They don't do back oxide, pro platinums or oil can anymore I don't think. Shame really. Only tour department for that.

This is basically it, they're not going to bring back a line that you need to take care of and get countless calls from people saying "My putter rusted, this is a piece of junk" and having to refund people. Easier to sell stainless and have a few people complain about no nice putters being released.

All I ask is that he quit with the 3 cherry bombs at this point. Otherwise I'm fine ebay hunting the classics.

But that's where the money is, you think Scotty wants to make less money? lol.

Funny thing about the Studio Style, you couldn’t sell them for more than $200 and now people are flocking to them. They were the least desirable line for years.

While carbon putters would be nice, I'd rather see the California shapes come back.  It would be that much cooler if they used the 2010 California face mill and Titleist logo in the cavity, with the 2012 California shapes.

I wish Scotty would make it like Wedgeworks - where you could get stuff that was desirable but too niche for OTR. I'd pay $600-750 for a new carbon scotty.

The problem is I will NOT pay $1k+ for something custom, when there are boutique makers that can do it for under 4 figures.

I don't think he should re-release older models. The history of the brand speaks for itself and tracking down older putters is always fun

Special Select line was a great improvement to the line with the removal of the insert.

Titleist over cherry bombs is it. But I've noticed Titleist isn't even on the putters anymore and vokey took Titleist off the back of the sm8

And I think Scotty is doing “re-release legacy models” in a way.

He released T22 that is essentially Tei3. He released Champions Choice that is inspired by Buttonback. I totally see he goes down this path with additional limited edition.

Good point - maybe release classics as limiteds

Sad if people are after 3 circles. Let alone putting one on any putter

They're not but they know what the 3 circles are when they see it on TV. It's all marketing from Scotty to sell putters.

There would be countless threads here about that ala "Bettinardi Customer Service Sucks" thread...

I love my #1. Picked it up years ago for $160 or something.

Like others have said, those of us that want a carbon putter with character are such a small niche of the retail market that it would only cause more issues if they moved away from the bead blasted stainless offerings of late.

I guess you're referring to the random tour rats and x5's  now it's random dots for the Select tours.

Just any, if you watch any Scotty videos on his YouTube channel he'll mention the dots being easy branding/marketing without the need to see the putter up close.

I'm not a fan of the multiple dots on those Select Tours but dots are their thing I guess.

Still gaming a np2 studio stainless.  Some days it feels like an extension of my body and I make everything I look at and shoot mid 60s.  Never had another putter feel that seamless.

I agree with you, but also think if you love the classics they are pretty easy to get a hold of one and then re-finish them. By doing this you end up with something better for you then you could get off the shelf anyway.

I wouldn’t mind a studio design remake.   A TEi3 line redo would be nice as well,  too bad the aftermarket would snatch them up and relist for twice the pride ah la champions choice.
