I’m currently looking at getting a LAB DF 2.1 putter and was just curious, what is the difference between these and a conventional CS putter?

I understand the tech behind the LAB hence the reason I want one BUT just curious what are the other differences?

thanks

Email our customer service team and they would LOVE to give you the schtick. [email protected]. In short, in one hand is a putter that stays square by itself, in the other is one that doesn't...which one you want!?! additionally, the forgiveness is unlike anything you've ever used. downside, its absurd looking but that only makes it that much more painful for your friends when they lose to you and your hot putter.

I played competitively with both. The LABs are awesome and roll really pure, the only downside I experienced is you give up a lot of feel with a LAB. 10 feet and in and you're money, however, lag putts just don't feel natural and are hard to find feel.

There's definitely an argument to be made that 10 feet and in is mostly all that matters. I switched back to a conventional putter, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder with these! Hard to argue results.

Its only a matter of getting used to it. Lag putting has always been the best part of my putting. It sucked for a short time when I had to get used to how far the ball goes, but now its better than ever.

I hardly ever have more than 3 feet left after a lag putt. if you get used to how far you have to take it back for a certain speed, this thing is automatic:

1. Direction is handled by the absence of torque (every. single. putt. starts. on. line).

2. The thing is so forgiving, it gets the ball to the hole even if you severely miss it

  • 1 month later...

Does anyone have experience sending back their putter to do a sightline adjustment? Philip at LAB golf super helpful thus far and just shot off another email to him. But in the meantime, I am curious if anyone has sent back their putter to LAB golf to have a shaft pull and sightline addition, and what the cost was? I have a stock #1 sightline but want to have a line all the way to the back like #28. Thinking of using a thin piece of white electrical tape to try to get a feel of what it would be.

The other route would probably be to order a custom build. My stock putter has been shipped by LAB and is in route so I wanted to look at my options of sending back or needing to do the whole custom option.

Thanks all!
