Does the face/head shape of the driver and fairway look different to anyone? Or is it just me. It’s usually just me.

Probably just the angle.  It does look a little more pear shaped perhaps?  I'm gonna stir the pot here and say it might be a "RORS" proto.  😬

Driver is the same as retail. I have one of his previously gamed SIM2 heads and the head itself is no different than one that I purchased retail. The front/rear weights have been swapped out on this specific head in an attempt to lower spin a little, the rear weight screw has been replaced with a T25 screw (on the van by Wade, he had these made to replace the T20), and this head has the tour issue "+" stamping to indicate that it has been COR tested (like all Tour heads).

 

I wonder if the weight configuration is the same in this driver as the one that I have? The back of the weight isn't pictured above. Mine has an 8g weight in the back and either a 7.1g or 9.5g weight up front (don't remember off the top of my head exactly which one).

But that face looks like it’s painted like the D type head. At least to my eye.

I see what you're saying and I think it's the angle combined with a little lens distortion. When I hold up various heads to my monitor none of the heads look quite right. The driver looks deeper and shorter heel to toe and I know that this is not the case so it has to be angle/distortion messing with us.

Didn’t Sergio have a special one off sim last year? Rory didn’t drive it this year like he did in the past. Yes he’s undergoing swing changes but could it be the driver? I think DJ couldn’t get comfortable either. Rory did mention having a tough time turning it over. Maybe they made him a special one off d-type head to go back to his draw but without it saying d-type?

OG tour issue sim fairway head is smaller then retail 100% same as Morikawa!!

His PW and 58 are both bent 2 degrees weak so he goes 48-56-60.

They do make a smaller headed version that is tour only, but otherwise the tour issue OG SIM fairway is the same as retail, just with specs and CT/COR tested like all other tour issue stuff.
