If Watkins or Mickelson started beefs with everyone on tour, both would be getting higher ratings. Perhaps they will create a CIP program for commentators, and a PIP program on the Champions Tour. Both would be strutting that CIP, PIP money swagger at the end of the year. Cha-ching!!

I always liked Lanny because he was the aggressive player on tour as I was growing up.

 

However, my wife thinks he looks like Peter Griffin without the glasses......

My feelings have softened over the past few years, and though I've never Played with him, I would have declined the invitation if asked. 

 

I also know of quite a few Tour Boys, real good guys, that don't care for Fred.

 

On another point, DJ is 2-3 times the Player that Fred ever fantasized about bein.

 

DJ did not underachieve~
 

They call that youth & immaturity

 

He grew up and wanted to be a Champion

 

DJ has six World Golf Championships, with only Tiger🐅 winning more and he is the first Player to win each of the four World Championship Events along with 2 Majors, arguably THE two to win if one could only choose two, with 24 Tour Victories total.

 

If DJ never wins another Tour Event, he's a slam dunk for the HoF, not some borderline underachiever who's a perennial WRX thread boy on "Is he or isn't he a HoFer?"

 

And yah, I realize that Fred is IN the HoF.

 

That's different from BEING a HoFer😉

 

You know what I mean😉

 

Fred???

 

He won a Green Jacket, an annual dinner invite for life along with 14 other Tour events and he was good with it🤷🏻‍♂️

Agreed.  Fred and John Daly should have 10 or so majors between them, or more. IMO. And if you add Anthony Kim, 15-20.

There was a great Lanny interview today on GC with Rich Lerner and Brandel before the final round of the Hero Tournament. 

 

Those who actually watched Lanny play appreciate his game and personality.  

 

In the interview, they managed to work in the fact that Lanny was 4-0 against Seve in Ryder Cup play.

 

Lanny also mentioned that he loved the "money games" and having some clear liquid after play.
