Introvert or Extrovert

Interesting article saying that in short, introverts buy Ping and Titleist. What do you think?

Not in my case. I'm definitely a Extravert and I've played Ping and Titleist  for probably 25 of the last 35 years off and on.

If I read the article correctly (I hope I did), that means I'm 64% introvert (PING) and 36% extrovert (Callaway) according to my bag setup...

I understand the gist of the article, but I think that either the writer or the person doing the study do a disservice covering just 3 of 4 Jung principles and then tying it to the introvert/extrovert trait considering how often that one is misunderstood.

I can see Callaway being more for extroverts. I don't think any introverts can comfortably play clubs with names like Mack Daddy or Big Bertha.

Introvert here.  Never had anything Ping in my bag but my bag when I was on college golf team was a Ping.  I haven't had a Titleist club in my bag in years.

I am on the introvert side of things and I have never been completely comfortable with the attention my used PXG irons sometimes get.  The Mack Daddy wedges and Rogue hybrids are not a big deal though.  My Maltby driver makes up for the PXGs I guess!  I don't know if the study is correct or not but there is no doubt that different personality types are attracted to different brands.

I'm only an extravert when I'm trying to dunk a basketball. I'm an introvert about 75% of the time and an extrovert 25% of the time.

opposite of these findings. I love Taylormade products and I am definitely extroverted. Not strictly TM but the majority of my bag 9Driver. 3W, Hybrid, wedges and putter are TM) With Miura TC-201's & Srixon ZX-7's rotating in the iron spot and a Callaway X Forged UT 21' Driving Iron in play for specific courses.

The data in the article isn't overwhelming but we can all draw the lines to each 

 

Titleist/Ping don't really get too much of the flashy golfer, being an Introvert myself I've always bagged Titleist and had a long stint with Srixon and would not mind bagging them again. 

 

Other side of that, TM, Callaway and Cobra are flashier with goofy names (great sticks from all of them no doubt tho) lend itself to those who maybe aren't as shy. I have noticed the younger/newer golfer tends to gravitate toward TM a LOT and brands of the like Bad Birdie, SWAG, odyssey putters etc....

Interesting premise. Most people switch between introversion & extroversion situationally, so idk how well the idea would hold up. Then again... this community is not really your average golfer LOL I would say most of us choose the clubs that look, feel, sound & perform best for our abilities. & sometimes I'm even surprised at what I'm willing to play based on performance!

I do remember when it was leaked that TM was coming out with a line of irons called Rocketballz & was... a little bit too much for me lol I never really cared for the white drivers, either

Definitely interesting. I'm sure the guy isn't giving away all of his secrets, but I'm not sure I've ever framed it that way. I've typically thought it was more of a "science-y" approach to feel/gusto. Sorta makes sense, but the correlation isn't very high. However it might be high enough to matter. It's at least interesting -- I know I'm going to note my buddies, and what's in their bags. I can think of Mr Taylormade right now, and he's a prototypical extravert…. hmm...

Very interesting article for sure, and I think there’s something to it.
 

Most people would classify me as an extrovert, and there’s just something about Titleist and PING products that I naturally shy away from. I can’t put my finger on exactly what it is, but for some reason I just can’t bring myself to pull the trigger on buying any of their products.

 

I’ll buy TaylorMade, Callaway, or Srixon products all day with no hesitation though…something about them just suit my eye and my tastes better. Not sure what it is, but I just follow my gut!

Introvert and long time Titleist player.  Initially really disliked Ping products (still have issues with fairways, hybrids and older wedges), but have a Ping Driver and a set of I210s.

If the article was about clothing I could see the introvert extrovert spit but clubs no way. Two of our loudest club characters use bags full of Ping.

Introvert…Titleist, Ping, Mizuno. TM spider putter so pretty simple there. 
 

I have had TM and Callaway but always gravitate towards Titleist, Ping, Mizuno.  Funny that I haven’t cared for some of Callway’s color schemes. I like the Jaws Full Toe but keep putting off pulling the trigger. 
 

Like another post said. I like the look of PXG irons but don’t like the attention they might draw.  
 

i agree the article needs some more research but there may be some merit to it.
