Wedge Shafts?

Recently I was fit and have been gaming my Mizuno JPX921 tours since July. When I was fit the shaft selector recommended KBS STape 130X's in my irons. I ordered some T20's as well and the rep recommended I stick with the same shaft. The problem that I am having is that I feel the shafts in the wedges, most notably the 60 and 56 make it harder to control the distance and spin with them. When I take a full swing with them they go my selected distance, but rarely does anyone hit a full wedge shot into a green. My question is what is the alternative shafts I can swap that will still fit the feel and control of my irons, but still give me the shot making abilities I am used?

I have been playing the $-Taper 130's for some time now and love them. I just recently started using the KBS 610 Wedge shaft in the S+ flex and love it. Gives me the mid trajectory wedges I am looking for and pairs great with my irons and mid trajectory Ventus Blue shafts in my woods. I struggled with $-Tapers in my wedges also and tried KBS tours, DG TI S400's and just wasn't getting the results I wanted but so far so good with the 610's.

#1: You could tip the 130X shafts a little bit, like 3/8". After all, they are 9i shafts soft stepped a couple times for those wedges so not surprising you might find them soft.

 

#2: KBS Tour wedge-specific shaft in 130g X flex (37" shaft, not the 37.5" 9i version); gets you one step closer, and you could even consider tipping this one a little bit too.

 

I play $-taper HT 120 S in MP-18 6-9, 125 S+ in PW (bent to 44*), 130 X in 48 and 52 T-20 wedges, and a 130 X Tour Wedge in my 58 Vokey. No issue at all hitting that 58 full shots, 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, sand, or chipping. Shaft feels good and matches rest of the set well. Played the Hi-Rev and other 8-iron based spinny shafts in the past with a definite different feel from the rest of the bag. No experience with the 610 but hear it is useful to keep shots down and sounds like that's working for @byoshio82 as noted above.

What issues are you having with partial shots? Controlling distance and spin is a little vague. It might be easier to nail down a recommendation with some more detail.
