I ordered the 17* with Trono 75x, no length adjustment, the first basic Callaway grip on 10/21 and still on order processing. So I don’t think it has to do with trimming or grip choice

Not the best pics. Fired off quickly at PGA Superstore. @BirdieBob did a much better job above. These are off the 21* UW. Definitely smaller than 7 wood offerings, which is just what I want to see.

I can't talk about x flex. Maybe x flex is significantly stiffer than s. However, if you play a typical 70s shaft in your 3 wood (for me aldila white 70s) and a typical 80s shaft in your hybrid (di 85s), now I'm quite positive that you can certainly play trono 75s.  I think this 75s is surprisingly a good fit for a smooth swinger. If you force it, it feels so stout. However, it feels very smooth and manageable if you swing smoothly with a moderate tempo. Very very good shaft and I would like to get one more for a driver too (maybe i can put an order with 65s and say no tipping with maximum length? Then i can pull it for my driver hahaha).

Placed an order for mine today… 17* 1/2”, D3 swingweight with the Hzrdus Smoke IM10 70 shaft…. Hoping that will give me mid launch since it appears these things are launching kind of lowish…. If not I may try to find a Diamana Kai’li 70 to throw in it as that as always been my favorite fairway shaft.

I ordered earlier today and can’t wait to get this on course. I demoed the 19* on launch day and loved it, but wasn’t quite where I needed to fill a whole.

 

Ordered 17*, -1/2”, LAGP Trono 65 S. Hoping it will fill the spot of a 4/5 wood.

 

My driver shaft is an Oban Kiyoshi white, 55gram S. From some quick reading, I think I’ll like the lighter weight Trono shaft.

Ordered on Friday, and just got shipping notice from UPS that it was shipped today from Mexico, and will be delivered tomorrow.  Still not sure how Callaway manages to do this so quickly from Mexico, but they do.

I ordered the Trono last Thursday and just got the notification it’ll be delivered tomorrow. Bummer — I’m leaving town for a week so I won’t get it for a bit. But I did already get two with Ventus Blues…

You will love it. I feel like the shaft encourages to swing more smoothly. If you try to force it, well, you don't feel good and you can't swing well. I know Bryson's swing is uber human. However, when you look at his swing, he doesn't force it from the start but rather beautifully accelerates at the end. Not that i have the same mechanism but  I love it haha. Let us know how you feel when you get it!

PGA still shows my order as processing and the charge on my card goes away until the order is completed but I got a SHOP PAY notification via UPS from Callaway de Mexico Nuevo Leon

Lol, that is crazy fast for these times. I have another club I ordered 2 months ago that hasn't even shipped yet and another club that actually has shipped but is still in transit. If the UW gets here before that club, it will be unbelievable.

 

Also, this is my favorite golfwrx thread in a long time. People just ordering all three lofts and/or multiple versions of the same loft 😂 sight unseen.

Does anyone remember the Adams Tour Proto 45/55 from around 2009 or so? Rumor had it that head was so popular at the time that they had to pull it off the van because it was hurting their hybrid counts.

 

This club kinda reminds me of that head with its size and versatility. Anyone hit both? I know the tech would be better with this head, just wanted to know about feel, etc.
