Agreed. Not a lot of reviews out there on the Trono, especially in a fairway wood. What are we thinking of the 75s?

Got a short session in with the 21, love the head size and how it sets up. The Trono in X is too much for me, I have to step on it every shot or it feels like I'm swinging rebar.

For reference with driver I swing in the 105-110 mph range with a moderate to smooth tempo/transition.

Would love to swap my 17/21 for someone who got Ventus but I'll likely just sell to recoup what I paid and reorder with a different shaft.

My 17 with Trono 75x just got delivered. Looks great and the waggle test is stiff but doesn’t seem crazy. It looks like it all cut from the butt and not tipped. I’m leaving to go play soon, excited to see how it plays.

how do you know it is not tipped? maybe my 75s is not tipped that's why i think it is so playable? 🙂

Does anyone remember the Adams Tour Proto 45/55 from around 2009 or so? Rumor had it that head was so popular at the time that they had to pull it off the van because it was hurting their hybrid counts.

This club kinda reminds me of that head with its size and versatility. Anyone hit both? I know the tech would be better with this head, just wanted to know about feel, etc.

I said the exact same thing, about a month ago, maybe longer, over in the original Apex UW thread. I even posted a picture of the 4555.

I owned the 4555 19° for a few years. I will eventually have an Apex UW 17°. Eventually I will be able to compare the too.

Wasn't the designer of the Callaway Super Hybrid the same that did the Adams Super Hybrid? I haven't been following too closely along but when one Adams club is kinda remade under Callaway and another is very similar it makes you think.

Haha I’m just going by the shaft graphics. The LAGP logo is almost under the grip. So far love the look and the feel of the head, and the shaft is fine so far. It’s not as long as I was hoping for so far but only a few holes in

Not sure who it is from Adams. But I do believe 'that person or persons' started with Callaway pre 2016 Apex Hybrid. I remember conversation that the 2016 Apex Hybrid was their first hands on with Callaway.

Had a chance to this today at GG as looking at replacing the SIM2 rescue which was just too one dimensional (great tee club, meh everywhere else).

I liked it but found I had better control and accuracy with the Tour Edge 721 hybrid. Distance was pretty similar between lofts due to the better control.

Makes sense, some of those Apex hybrids had some strong Adams hybrids vibes.

I was an Adams Idea Pro Hybrid guy, and the transition into Apex Hybrids (the '16 heads) was pretty natural.

I've got 16°, 18°, 20°, 23°, and 26° in the Apex Hybrids.

And, 16°, 18°, 20°, and 22° in the Idea Pro Hybrids. Still looking for a 24° and 26°.

Hit the 19* UW on a monitor with the smoke black rdx 70s. Very neutral flight. Pushed a few right, but didnt hit anything left. Head looks very neutral at setup. Distance is not as far as your would think looking at the club. 20* Super Hybrid is longer. I've got quite a bit of experience with the Adams Super XTD in various lofts and it is definitely longer loft for loft. This isnt a low spin power hybrid. Has no trouble getting the ball up in the air with a softer flight. Great club for hitting into greens on par 5s.

Just received my LH 19* with Trono 75S.  Looks great.  Mine arrived with a 7g weight, and D4 SW.  In fairness, that is  around the stock SW (D3-D4).  That said, I just swapped in a 2g weight to bring this down to D2, which is where I will begin this journey.  If this is going to be playable at all for me with the Trono, I think a lighter SW is the place to begin.  I can go from there.  If this is an outright failure, I’ll just return it to PGATSS and get the store credit.  Not sure I’ll be able to hit it before Sunday.
