Put a Ventus Blue 8s into my 19* and it's feeling great so far. The RDX Smoke 70g S was pretty solid too.

I regripped my 21* and took pics of the shaft specs.  Provided that to LAGolf for determination as to the authenticity, made-for, real-deal shaft info.

Reply from LAGolf......interesting reply....wonder how Callway got these shafts?  Anyway they are upcharging $345 for these proto shafts!

Oh wow, this is really interesting. I emailed LAGP after I called Callaway earlier. I haven't heard back from LAGP yet -- but will post the response I get once it comes. I didn't pull the grip, though. (In fact haven't even seen my Trono in person yet. It was delivered, but I'm out of town for a few days on a work trip.) I started reading this thread after picking up my phone in the middle of the night. Wondering why it’s so damn long. On page 2 I’m thinking damn it. Missed out of the free Ventus upgrade. Then a few more posts and 5 minutes later I have one with a Trono 75S on order through PGATSS.

I’m confused by this. Either a strange stealth promotion, a conspiracy, or someone royally screwed up. It’s been 10 plus days and it’s still no upcharge. On Callaways official site it’s a $410 upcharge.

Shaft graphics look the same..no "16", so maybe that is what to look for to ID the shaft from retail?

LAGolf has no made-for shafts for Callaway at least according to Callaway.  And the ones in the UW are the real deal according to LAGolf!

It may be that the stiff flex with the "16" are the retail more so than the xstiff shaft w/o the "16" like many have in their UWs.

It looks like you guys bought up all the Trono 75 models, lol.  The only one available to select is the Trono 65, but still no upcharge.  I normally wouldn't use a shaft that light, but still tempted to get 17 Degree in Trono 65X.  I have plenty of other aftermarket shafts laying around and could always switch it out.  I've always wanted to try a Trono and with no upcharge, why not.

I see a couple of 75S models on Ebay as well as some 75X.

Also, you can order via Callaway website as they show the TRONO 75X available for order for a modest upcharge... lol

Looks like my 75X is one of these proto types too assuming the R. G stands for revision G as the LAGP rep stated.  I haven't checked my 65X but wouldn't be surprised if it's the same as both are missing the "16" graphic that seems to be the marker of the retail shaft.

Mine arrived midweek (19 deg Trono 75x), and I got to play with it today. I like it, but don’t love it - the x flex is very stout but playable, but I struggled for consistency with it and think I will not keep it. I can still return it for credit, but if anyone missed out on the 75g shaft deal then let me know and I’d be happy to pass it on for what I paid. Will put it on the BST shortly but PM me if you want first refusal.

Hit both my 17 and 21 on Trackman at a club champion fitting 2 days ago. First off I love the Trono shaft. Super stable and consistent. My dispersion circle was tiny

Ball speed wise these things are very hot off the face. I played a Gen4 17* hybrid w/ ventus blue 9x most of this year. Favorite club in the bag by far but after saturday I think it needs to find a new home. The 17* UW gave me almost 4mph more speed, 11 yards more carry and about 14 yards total

its probably more of that shaft but I saw a very penetrating, mid ball flight. Very happy with the purchase and both will go straight in the bag

So will you drop the 4i, play both 21UW and 4i or alternate depending on course.  Interested cause I play at strong 3 and thinking of going 17uw and 21uw then 5i or maybe squeeze in a traditional hybrid between the 21uw and 5i.

Doesn't 273 CPM more closely align with a stiff flex, not extra stiff? Are the walls of the shaft super thick?

I picked up the 21UW and play it between my 4W and 4i.  The 21UW definitely goes a lot further than my Srixon 545 4i which is my 210-215 club.  Only been out 1 round with it but the 21UW seems like it wants to be a 220-230 club for me.  Driver SS is 110-115 for reference.

Do you play a 3 wood? Curious how much or if there was much of a gap between the 17°?

Finally got out to play and ended up hitting it four times. Twice off the tee and twice on 2nd shots into par 5s

This thing is a cannon teed up. I hit a little safety cut off the tee on a tight hole and it still ended up going about 220y. The next hole I played a high tight draw and it ended up going 258y per Arccos.

I hit one out of the rough on the par 5 18th. Had 212y flag into a 12mph wind. Arcoss said it played about 230 and I was able to flight one out of the rough to the front edge of the green. Easy up and down off the fringe for birdie.

Trono 75X felt good under on the course. Feels pretty stable when going after it.

Overall the club did enough to stay in the bag for now. I'm excited about it's potential to be a par 5 killer

Nope don't play 3w. Last year was Mini driver 13.5* and my 18* hybrid

Depending what I do I would drop both and go with 17 and 21 UW's...... but of course tempted to grab he 19* also to keep the mini driver in play then go to the 19

Tough call. The 21 is really hot and my 4i is 23*. Even at the 2* loft difference the 21 UW carried about 12 yards farther than the 4i.

Ill have to decide between going driver, 17 UW, 21 UW or Driver, Mini Driver 13.5, hybrid 18*

In order to keep my mini driver in play I think the best option unfortunately would have been the 19* UW so might have to buy another one!

I think for most people the 21 UW into a 5i would be too big of a gap. If you stick with the strong 3w then id say the 19* is ideal. The 21* UW gave me almost the same ball speed as my 18* hybrid (more spinny which is fine to make it more playable and better gapping). Cant stress enough how hot these faces are. On Trackman the 17* gave me some 1.48 and 1.49 efficiency

if anyone decides to move on from a 19* w/ Trono 75x please let me know.

Would like the versatility to go Mini driver 13.5 and 19* UW on some courses or go 17 and 21 depending on courses I play.

Thanks...my 5i is really a ZXU 4 weakened a couple degrees so its not a crazy gap, but I have room to squeeze in a 23-24 hyb as well.  I dropped a wedge last season and went to a Webb Simpson top of the bag set up.

If anyone hits higher-lofted fairway woods too high (definitely me) the UW is absolutely a must try.  My Epic Flash 7-wood (20 degree) is a great club but in the wind is borderline unplayable.  The UW in 19 degrees launches significantly lower and holds its line better than any club I have hit before.
