Pretty fast for a 2 some.  I've done it once with my cousin in just under 2 1/2 hours.  We teed off 4pm and finished at 6:28 pm.   This happened during fall before covid.

I routinely play by myself riding a cart and usually get 18 holes done in about 2 hours 15 minutes.  This is of course dependent on nobody being ahead of me and getting in my way.  Otherwise, it might take 4+ hours to play because most of the d-bags at my country club won't let anyone play through.  I tell ya, I've had enough of the entitled BS.  Definitely not rejoining next year.

Shot 90, basically bogey golf with one lost ball.   He walked (or jogged!) and I rode cause of a previous leg injury and it was hilly.  Basically we teed off, immediately hustled to our balls, watched the other hit, repeat.  One or two putted every hole with no three putts.

Congratulations.

Something to be very proud of (I guess). 👍

I've walked 18 at my home course in 2:35. But that was as a solo, and I waited on no one for the entire round.

2:47 is solid for a twosome.

that sucks. Past couple weekends I’ve been able to walk 18 in 2:09 on a 6500 yard course at 8am. Usually play through a couple groups and hit a couple extra balls during the round. No rushing, just a nice steady pace. Not letting people play through is a load of crap if there is open space.

I may go hit some balls at the range. I'm hoping to hit 300 balls in less than 60 minutes.

That's one ball every 12 seconds. Wish me luck...

Nice time.

Played 36 in 3:57 walking as twosome. Putting out, playing by the rules. Shooting around 75 both times. You can get around pretty fast if you want to.

Played 3:15-3:20 walking as foursome plenty of times and it does not feel fast as a regular round for us is 3:40ish.

Nice work.

If I'm solo first out I can do 18 right at 2 hours with a power cart. I am averaging 1:15 for 9 before the office and that has been working until recently. It's a bit dark before 7:30 these days.

After I hit 400 balls in 40 minutes (6 seconds per ball), I drove home as fast as I could, racing from stoplight to stoplight and weaving in and out of traffic, so I could sit on the sofa and eat potato chips. Then I had sex with my wife in less than 20 seconds.

I'm going bowling later this evening. Four of us always try to finish 3 games in 12 minutes.

Wish me luck!

I feel bad for your wife.

Same thing here.  I play 18 in 2:20 (1:10 per side) if nobody slows me down.  I get in a zone and, it's a zen-like experience.

People won't let you eat through anymore. The current lack of etiquette in potato chip eating is depressing. I'm thinking of a private potato chip club . . .

I'm like you, I just want to eat them as fast as I can. It defines me.

You wouldn't happen to be one of the guys not letting faster golfers play through, would you? Lol. You seem pretty riled up about us complaining about the lack of etiquette. Mind you, what you said is funny as hell, but I don't exactly get where you're coming from.

Nice round. My buddy and I would walk our home university course in about 2:40 when nobody was in front of us and it's NOT an easy walk (6.5 miles gps verified up and down hills).

Last year my other buddy and I played 36 in 4:40 with about a 10 min break between rounds at the Orchards GC in Washington Twp, MI, and played through 4 groups (with cart).

In neither were we rushing, and in fact, took our times on the green. But we're not standing over full shots for more than a few seconds.

Late fall last year a buddy and I played as a twosome, we both rode in separate carts.  6200 yards, drove 7.4 miles and finished in 2:40--- definitely NOT speed golf, I'd say we played at what felt like a normal pace just a lot less time getting to our ball.  Could have been faster but we ran into a group around the 6th hole on the front but stayed back and didn't play through because we weren't in a hurry. The back 9 was vacant.  Even had time to grab a beer at the turn.

I understand it may seem esoteric. You're a drummer.

How do you know when a drum kit is level on a stand?

The drummer drools equally from both sides of his mouth.

How do you know if a drummer is knocking at your door?

He starts speeding up.

I have done 3:05 as previous record, but yesterday my playing partner, who I didn’t meet until the tee box, were just clicking.

If you would have told me this would turn into potato chip eating and drummer jokes, I would have asked what you were smoking?! 🤣 Gotta love this place. 😜
