Sim2 max 3w

Anyone still bagging?  Long term feedback?

played with a bud today and used his a handful of times … ventus blue velo 6s fwiw

so darn long

big head profile and depth awesome off the tee

easiest 3w to hit off the deck I’ve ever tried (and I’ve owned a gajillion 3 woods) … and the best … no ballooning even into strong winds

need to hunt one down to match up to my retro ‘ 16 m2 driver

18th hole today … had 235 left, over a pond, into a 30kmh NE breeze and flew this onto the green with ease.  I should mention it was only 10*C out as well

I think I can easily carry this 250 off the deck based on today

I have the 5w and -- yes -- the 9w! The latter is phenomenal from the fairway and is a fantastic rescue club. The 5w is great from the deck or off the tee. Love the glued, non-adjustable hosels. Playing both in Ventus Blue 7x.

I have the 3w but haven't played it because I need to get it re-shafted. Will be testing against the SIM TI rocket and the Mizuno Stz.

But I love the SIM2 Max performance -- does everything you would want from a fairway wood, and I like having a slightly larger head for tee shots, especially with the 3w.

Ventus blue 7x also my thought as well

From appearances you’d think my g400 three wood would fly higher, especially at address off a tighter fwy lie, but this simply isn’t the case for me

will put a Tm tip on my ventus red 6x for some matchy matching

Playing a Sim2 Max with a 7X Black Velocore and love it off the deck and especially off the tee. Will be in the bag for awhile.

I have the 3 wood with Ventus Blue 7X and 5 wood with Black 7X and I find the center of the face more than I ever have with those shafts. I don’t feel like I have to swing hard. Give me a nice straight ball flight and I don’t have to worry as much about the left side like I used to. Same with my Black 6X in my driver.

I had a Sim ti 3 wood and 5 wood, tour issue for whatever that is worth. I love the 5 wood but I hit the 3 wood too low. I currently play a g410 3 wood and hit it fine, but uninspiring. When I turn my sim 5 wood down to 17.5*, I think I hit it every bit as long as the g410 3w.

is the SIM 2 an upgrade for you guys from the og sim? Furthermore, can you compare the sim 2 and sim 2 max?? That 3hl makes me wonder if that might be a lil magic wand.

TM fairways are their standout products IMO. For me nothing matches them off the tee. High Laumch low spin and I hit it all of the face, never lets me down. The only difference betwen the MAX in M6/Sim/Sim2 is paint job IMO.

Love mine only used it twice as it is long and very forgiving. It won the 3W battle for 2021 for me as I too went thru a few different brands that were good but the SIM 2 MAX out performed them all.

I stopped by the store this past weekend and was messing around and hit the demo SIM2 Max 3HL with 5R shaft. It was the easiest to hit 3 wood I can remember and the numbers were great. I now have a tour issue 3HL on the way that is 57* lie angle. The upright lie angle was the only thing that was giving me pause as I already hit a draw.

I have a G425 max 3 wood that is supposed to be easy to hit and it is, but I find the SIM2  fairways (owned the SIM2 Ti earlier this year as well as last year's Sim Ti) way way way easier to launch and they go farther for me. I love that PING got rid of the turbulators on the fairways this year, but still dislike the shallow face. So afraid to tee the PING up for fear of scuffing up the crown and just have no confidence in it off the tee.

I actually prefer the original SIM Ti from 2020 over the new SIM 2.  The new ones appear to be like they have onset with the face protruding more forward than the original.

Just picked up a 3HL to replace a Epic speed 4 wood that I never got along with ( bad shaft  for me, I think, with IM10 )

Stock Ventus blue 50 R seems to work pretty good for me, although after a thorough range session, I can see putting a little lower launching shaft in it in the future. For a light shaft , it's surprisingly stable, and feels more substantial in my hands than I expected.

I spent probably 3 hrs total on different days trying to decide between this and the TSi2 16.5 w/ the Tensei Raw Blue 65. The TM was more forgiving and longer by a lot on mishits.

I'll play my first round with it on Sunday. There's a long uphill par four that I'm usually hitting 4wd or 3hyb into, and a couple of shorter par 4's where I'll use it off the tee.

had 2 drivers in the bag for yesterday closer, carry 20 clubs, 4 for 1 best ball.  had a third but a pal “borrowed” my g400 lst with ventus red 6x

so I used my partners sim2 driver all round and rested my m2.  He had the 9* max D head turned up to 11 with a ventus velocore blue 6s.  Didn’t miss 1 fairway.  Point and shoot.  Fades for fade swings and draws for draw holes.

Course underwater so carry numbers known on all holes.   265-275 most of the day in 10*C weather.  Fwiw, Was swinging 110 in the lab after the round, spin 2100 rpm

amazed the D was so good - sorry Wrx - but my TM buddy says it gets love for never missing right.

It seems i missed the boat on this line this year because I preferred the looks of the OG Sim, but what I didn’t like about the OG was 3 right tee ball pushes a round

i just had 3 shafts arrive … but have ordered a ventus blue 6x to test in m2 at 46.25”.

hit my 16 m2 today at the range with the RIP Phenom 50 x …. Nice, better for me than the TX
