I have not been keeping up to date with all of the latest shaft offerings.  I currently play the ST190 with an ATMOS TS Blue 6S shaft.  Is there anything comparable to this shaft with the latest offerings, or is there some kind of shaft chart that shows launch and spin rates like Titleist offers?

Also for those that have traded clubs into Rock Bottom Golf, do you typically get what they offer?  For example, a club I'm considering trading says I can get up to $123, but it doesn't say what is required to reach that max limit.  I'm just curious if I may end up with like $80 instead in which case I probably wouldn't want to trade it in.  If anyone can help with that, I would greatly appreciate it.

Just dropping a note to say that stz220 + ventus TR 6s is the most consistent, forgiving driver that I have ever hit.

I had some more time to settle into my STZ220 driver switched out the Tensi Blue Stiff shaft with the Tensi Blue TX first responder shaft MMC Blue plus 4 grip. It looks absolutely gorgeous. It I have been crushing this thing loving it!! It kicked my G425lst out the bag which I didn’t think was going to happen. Mizuno sounds better!! looks better!! and for me longer and pretty darn forgiving.

long and short. There will probably be some new listings on the BST both Tensi stiff shaft and ping driver.!

Played 9 yesterday and drove it the best that i ever have. Stz220(blue) + ventus tr 6s is just an absolute dream of a combo.

My last unicorn driver was g400max and this is like that level of forgiveness, but better looking and feeling, and longer. I'm the only one at my club with this in the bag and every time I'm out, people can't believe how good it is.

this thing flies seriously under the radar. What a driver.

Just played my first two rounds with the 220 Z. Fantastic. Feels great and is so forgiving. Can hit all the shots. I find it more forgiving than TSi2 and easier to hit a cut. The Tsi2 may be a tad longer but that is probably because the shaft is 1/2 inch longer.

Played my first 9 with the ST-Z Tuesday. Definitely found the right side a bit more than I'm used to, but that's not the fault of the driver. My last lesson has me working on a few things including my grip and tempo. No nasty slices but certainly a few hard cuts maybe 10 yds off the target line. Distance is good, comparable to the G400 max I previously played and definitely longer than my current 300 mini. Biggest thing is no nasty hooks like either of those 2 have been pretty reliable at producing. My best takeaway is the sound and feel off the Mizuno. Every manufacturer should be studying what Mizuno did here. They absolutely nailed it. I can only think of one driver out of dozens over 25 years that felt this good (Tobunda GT - Japanese house brand for Golf 1). The ST-Z is what I will judge all future drivers off of in those respects.
Next time out, I'm going to play around with the adjustments to tune in the ball flight I want and may look at a different shaft option than the Riptide (maybe a bit more height/kick).

I’m in a similar boat. I am bagging the G400 (non max) but tinkering with the STZ 220. I had the EF Riptide shaft and popped in an Aldila NV Orange to get more kick and launch. It has a serious case of the rights.

I absolutely love the feel and sound of the head (even better than the new Rogue), just gotta find the right shaft.

I've switched between speeder nx and ventus TR and have landed in ventus tr to eliminate the left miss for me. But yeah, absolutely perfect sound and feel and insanely forgiving. I think I'll prob try g430 and tsr2, but I don't see either really knocking this out of the bag.

i very rarely have a slice with my driver but i do have the occasional push right. during my fitting the smoke blue rdx worked best for me. also the fitter put driver in upright setting. this really helped stopped the right miss for me. my final setting was -1U. i tend to hit up 4 degress with my driver.

My STZ came to 198 without the screw also. I have mine matched with a HZRDUS Smoke iM10 Low 60 TX @ 46". I finally got to try it out last week. It's running a tight race with my Speedzone at the moment. I was REALLY fortunate that its MOI came within 20 of my Speedzone. I had to make weights for the SZ cause I couldn't find any light enough. I didn't have to change anything on the STZ which was nice to find out.

How does the ST-Z 220 compare to say the Ping G400 Max?

Originally I was looking at finding a Ping G400 Max head (have plenty of shafts due to my current Ping G30), but this Mizuno driver is available for some smoking deals if you look in the right places.

I gamed the stz 220 last year and was a huge 400 max fan. The stz seemed every bit as stable, maybe more so. Feel is superior, and I'd guess probably longer. It is a major sleeper. Incredible driver. Looks great too.

There's a few ST-Z 220's available on eBay for less than $200.

I don't think you'd be disappointed, it's the most consistent driver I've gamed.

These drivers are going for a stupid good price. Cheaper than an equivalent G400 Max, which is now an almost 5 year old driver.

I recently bought a few shafts to try out in my G30 (and anticipated newish G400 Max), but in hindsight I wish I would've put the money towards one of these Mizunos. I may have to sell some stuff and pick up one of these Mizunos, given how good of a deal they seem to be for such a good performer.

Curious to hear your feedback after playing with it.

See I read that post about the fubaki/ascent  but lookig at the specs I still wouldn't know what the shaft is like to play  is it considered a' whippy' one? Or is it a v light one at 50g?

Without knowing anything about you, there is no way to guess how the shaft would play for you. The shaft is definitely on the lighter side, but, as for "whippy", that depends on your swing.

I had the same set-up ST190 w Atmos Blue 6s shaft..I put an AD DI in it and it took it to another level for me. Still using is and still testing the latest offerings and nothing can beat it...the TSR line gives me lower spin and is longer, but for 600.00 I don't know if I would be gaining much.

I got a brand new STZ 220 on Ebay this fall for $170.  Also bought a like new Ventus Black 7x velocore shaft for a great deal.  Had PGA Tour Superstore put Mizuno adaptor on it and make it play to 35 inches.  Shaft is so stable and the 220 head is forgiving across the whole face....which I use all of!  Feeling great about my driver situation this summer.

95 w/7 iron, You may "lose the head" in the backswing with your driver CHS well higher than 100 mph. The Ascent shaft may work for you, but, 50 gram shafts are usually for those looking for more speed with a lighter shaft, which, I don't think is you.

Well I get about 225 yrds on my ping g400M if thats a Better Indication  it was a 60g S flex tho still felt a bit loose for a S  I think I am going to try to sell it now before iv even hit it as even if I was to get another heavier shaft I'd still have to buy a whole new driver just to get the shaft
