@glkI agree with some of your premise. The shaft should stand up at the front heel line. I don't agree with using a plane board device because the swing is a dynamic motion. The plane is dynamic, trying to make it conform to a static plane is detrimental in my opinion.

It's easy to learn, you can learn it with half a bucket. A whole bucket if you're a slow learner. Then it takes a few solid days of repetition until it becomes a trained reflex pattern.

 

The hard part is finding a teacher who can teach it.

Bryson's clubface looks almost identical to Snead. Matt Wolf certainly doesn't have the face turned down. Maybe the answer is just they're freaks and time it well, but those clubfaces are almost 90* different. Maybe I'm just asking what those guys do to get it back on the ball.

 

These pictures are interesting. Although it appears the club face is open, the lead wrist is bowed. 2D pictures can be deceiving.

I'm sure people have picked up on this before but I find it interesting because his impact position is a response to a stimulus that wouldn't have been possible if he wasn't here.

Played 18 this afternoon and tried the motorcycle move, but I kept doing wheelies.  I must have been keeping my weight too much on my back foot.

I think they are actually square (or slightly closed) in these pictures.  My comment was in response posts that claimed the club faces were open, probably because they were toe up.  That's why I said 2D pictures are deceiving.
