Easiest to hit Hybrid for a 15

Probably one of those new super hybrids from callaway although I haven't hit them yet. I game the TaylorMade Sim Max (first gen) and I think they are outstanding. Only hybrid I have ever liked really.

Remember hybrid shafts are a bit longer, but are intended to be hit down on like an iron. Goodluck!

(Could also try a 7w which are super easy to hit. DJ and a couple other top guys have them in their bags for certain tournaments)

The Ping G425, TaylorMade Sim2 Max and Titleist TSi2 are all really easy to hit. None are particularly better than the others; I think it’s just a matter of testing those to see if you have a clear preference: Sim if you want draw bias, Ping if you want to get a really flat lie angle, Titleist maybe as a Goldilocks sort of option with good adjustability to evolve as your swing and bag makeup change over time.

I’d also say you could get the previous generation of each (G410, Sim Max, TS2) without losing anything in terms of performance, if you want to save a few bucks. The Cobra hybrids also look great and are supposed to be forgiving, maybe a somewhat similar rounded sort of head shape to the Titleist ones, but I just haven’t really hit them except a few swings at a big box golf store so I can’t make a recommendation.

There are even more forgiving, bigger headed options out there, too. Cleveland’s new Hy-Wood. I think the Wilson D9. Titleist’s TSi1, which is built to be light for slower swingers but you can always put a heavier weight and shaft into it. Once the size gets up there though, it’s a matter of preference on whether you’d consider them “easy to hit.”

I personally did not like the Callaway Super Hybrid, and didn’t really get along with the newer Epic Super Hybrid either. But I think many, many others would disagree, and say those are the easiest to hit.

And if you’re a 15, you’re for sure good enough to handle the new Callaway Apex UW. I’m loving it so far. Wouldn’t call it as forgiving as others I’ve mentioned, but it’s no slouch at all.

I played ping K15 for years as a mid to high single cap. Super easy to hit and launch.  I recently changed to the Cobra Fly Z XL.  A few years old but can be had at a good price.  Definitely a game improvement hybrid.  I find them very easy to hit, great launch, and very forgiving.  I now have the Cobra 4, 5 and 6 hybrids along with the older Ping 6 hybrid in my bag.  The Cobra 6 and Ping 6 are different lofts.  The Ping 6 hybrid replaces my Mizuno JPX800 Pro 7 iron.

I have hit/owned Ping hybrids in every iteration from their Rapture line thru the current G425 and I don’t think there is a better all-around hybrid; they just do everything well. Own hybrids from Titleist and Callaway, which I will play for awhile, but always go back to Ping.

Ping G410 in hybrids or fairways are my money clubs. That being said I still have 3- Ping Anser hybrids that I refuse to get rid of. Easy to hit and cheap. The only other dirt cheap hybrids that are idiot proof are the Nickent 3DX iron woods. OMG these things were money.

Tour Edge ES521H. You're Welcome!😄

The reason they are so easy to hit is because they have shorter shafts in them than a normal hybrid for control.

I went down this road and IMO the answer is none. I'm baffled how these were ever determined to be easier to hit unless you're fighting a wicked slice. I sold both of mine a year ago and went to a GI iron instead. Regular old Callaway XRs to be specific. Not quite as long but so much straighter and easier to hit. Also, if you're looking at hybrids, maybe look into a nice 5w or 7w. Those are clubs are so much easier to hit I don't know why more people do use them.

Do yourself a favor and try any of the recent Cobra Baffler offerings. I'm around a 15 and I currently game a Cobra F8 19* 3 Hybrid.  It's the club I go to on long par 3's or long approach shots when I short my driver.  I should probably throw my 3-wood out of my bag and just stick with it on par 5's as well. 😉

As often happens when a question arises of who makes the "best" or "most forgiving" clubs you got responses that listed most of the major manufacturers.

Fortunately for golf consumers they all make excellent, forgiving clubs designed for a wide variety of golfers.

In the end it's up to your personal preference.

If you want easy to hit, IMHO do yourself a favor and pick any hybrid that suits your eye, then cut down at least 1" with a bit more weight on the head to get the feel back. That will make it just easier to hit consistently and make for a better iron replacement. Pick up an Adams from 10+ years ago, they are easy buttons to hit and are all proper length clubs for iron replacements 🙂

As for brands it is a bit personal but folks have already covered some of the goto's such as a Ping G or Cobra. Titleist are no slouches. Mizuno never gets enough love for non-irons but they have done great things in the past few years as well, plus easier on the wallet.

Myself I am a Cally guy, still gaming an Epic from 2017 as it just works. I go back and forth with 3H and 7W based on course/wind conditions.

Like so manny other clubs, hybrids have been caught up in the distance race that started 10-15 years ago.  For me, I like shorter shafts and more loft as they are easier to control.

I use callaway hybrids made before 2010. The 3,4,5 are 21,24,27 degrees respectively  and  are at least .75 inches shorter then there great great grandsons of today. Only downside to hybrids that old are their tendency to draw, and the stock shafts do play a touch soft compared to today. Good luck.
