Does your local golf course do fittings? If you just want to buy to try, you might try Callaway Pre-Owned. As far as recommending senior shafts, they may work for you, but, so might a regular shaft - especially, a light weight one. It depends on your swing, and, shaft.

Cleveland Launcher HB Turbo, last year's model, with the stock shaft in senior flex. They're out there at closeout prices. You might want to consider a 12 degree.

Cleveland Launcher HB Driver 10.5 degree

Cleveland Launcher Halo Hybrids 16, 19, 22 degree

Cleveland Launcher HB Irons 5-SW

Cleveland CBX 2 Wedge 60 degree

All with senior flex graphite shafts

JumboMax Ultra Lite size M on driver, size S on the rest

Taylor Made Daddy Long Legs putter, Winn Dri-Tac Jumbo Lite Pistol Putter Grip

If money is less of a consideration, XXIO stuff just works and is specifically built for the slower swinger that requires lighter weight. Really good shafts as standard as well.

Alternatively, TSi1 is a good choice as well.

At 80 mph speed, I would very much stay away from the "normal" heads as they will be heavy on average.

Do you have physical limitations?   50 isn’t that old to be giving up.  Can you focus on drills to increase your speed and strength ?

Have you had your swing speed measured or are you estimating based on distance?  If you are hitting your current driver too high, you may be creating more speed than you think and the issue is a swing problem.  However, it would be hypocritical of me to try to talk anyone out of buying a new club.  I can't stop buying golf clubs.  Just ask my wife.

I would suggest the Ping G410 driver with a VA Composites Nemesys 55R shaft. I don’t think the G425 is appreciably better than the G410; and the Nemesys being counterbalanced is easy to swing and easy to load.

Callaway Mavrik SZ/Mavrik 10.5 degree with VA Composites Nemesys 55R/VA Composites 54R

Callaway Mavrik SZ/Mavrik 16.5 degree with VA Composites Nemesys 65R/VA Composites 64R

Callaway Mavrik Pro 20 degree/Ping G410 19 degree with GD Tour AD HY 75R/VA Composites Raijin 84R

Ping I210 (4-UW/4-PW; red dot) with Aerotech Steelfiber I95 R/Nippon NS Pro Modus 3 105R

Ping Glide Forged wedges (54/58; orange dot)/Ping Glide 3.0 (50/54/58; orange dot) with Aerotech Steelfiber I95 R/NS Pro Modus 3 105R

Piretti Savona Elite Black Special Edition 34"/Piretti Teramo Classic 34"

Srixon Z Star

TSi1, XXIO would be my first looks.  Lots of good recommendations in this thread already though

Appreciate the recommendation I actually did try the XXIO today, both the Eleven and the Prime. Very easy to hit and straight but not a ton more distance and very high ball flight using the regular shaft. They did not have a senior shaft.

Ping 425 Max with a Distanza shaft.

I actually tried this and it's a contender. I tried the SFT version and this was the most accurate driver I have ever tried. Very high ball flight- seemed the hang time was forever but then just kind of dropped from the sky and didn't roll out. I may go with this and just except that with 80MPH I'm just not going to hit much farther.

I have arthritis in my lumbar region and a bit of scoliosis in the same region.  It gets pretty angry when I go after it.

Take 1000mg of Turmeric Curcumin every day. I was well on my way to becoming an invalid before I discovered it.

    • APPLY NOW: L.A.B. Golf MEZZ.1 Putter (Early Access) Member Testing! 10 Testers Needed!
L.A.B. Golf is choosing ten GolfWRX members to receive their MEZZ.1 putter early and put their brand new product to the test before reporting back to the community about what they see. The selected testers will be one of the first to experience the MEZZ.1 from L.A.B. GOLF, their newest Lie Angle Balanced design, ahead of it's January 2022 launch!

About The L.A.B. Golf Mezz.1 Putter
MEZZ.1 is our new mid-mallet putter that’s fully CNC machined from a billet of 6061 aircraft aluminum (body) and 303 stainless steel (midsection) to create our best-feeling — and we think best looking — putter to date. It includes 10 weights (eight on the bottom, two on the sides) that allow us to individually build each putter to a golfer’s exact specifications.

      How To Apply
In a post below, answer the following questions.

      1. City, State?
      2. Handicap?
      3. What is your current putter?
      4. Have you ever used a L.A.B. Golf putter?
      5. Why do you want to review the MEAZZ.1 putter?
      6. Do you agree to participate in an ongoing testing thread, posting reviews and photos?

That's it! @labgolf and GolfWRX will choose the testers in about 2 weeks! This testing event is for good-standing members in the USA only!
