How do DG X100's compare to other heavy, low launch shafts?

I have recently decided that it's time to give up on the DG Tour Issue X100's I have. Just not getting the desired height on my 5-7 irons with them. I switched them out with the TT Tour Concept shafts in Stiff flex, and immediately I saw and felt a difference in launch, peak height, and ease of shaft load. So now, I have two questions;

1. Are X100's some of the lowest launching shafts on the market?

2. Would something like the Nippon Modus 120 or DG AMT Black in a stiff flex create better launch conditions (higher ball flight) for my longer/mid irons than the X100s?

I currently like the Tour Concepts I have in my irons, but I am just curious as to what would be similar to these just in case I get the itch to experiment with something else. I dont mind the weight because Tour Concepts are still 126g compared to 130g for the X100s. I just need something that loads easier and launches higher like the Tour Concepts.

I would not say x100 is the lowest launch. C-taper are lower and for me Project X are lower too.

I would look at KBS tour 125 s+ or 130x, same weight and for me they launched 1-2 degrees higher.

If you like the DG profile and can't load the X100, why don't you go for S400/S300?

Modus 120,125,130 are all options for a higher flight. Even higher you could try elevate tour from true temper.

Launch conditions from shaft to shaft can be swing dependent in how you react to its profile and deliver loft at impact.

I hit the DG x100 lower than the C-Taper 130x, I launch the the C-Taper 130 Tour X higher than the Modus 105s, Elevate Tour X, but slightly lower than the KBS Tour 120, but I spin the C-Tapers less.

Id try a few different shaft profiles in a few different weights to see what gives you the best dispersion and feel, then tweak lofts if needed. Don’t feel like you need to look into a certain flex only.  I got along best with the Modus 105s and KBS tour 120 (S) and would consider a KBS Tour 115 (R+) and my swing speed with a 7 iron is around 93mph with ball speeds around 124mph.

Everyone is different, I have a profile that I like, then a weight window. A Modus 120x feels to soft, but a PX 6.0 is a bit too stiff for my liking. They both weigh the same, but different profiles that provide different feel for me YMMV!

As someone who played DG x100’s for about 20+ years, I found that the DG  120x or Elevate Tour X were a good fit. I liked the Elevate tour x, it had a DG x100 feel, but much easier to load and launch with around the same spin

I hat some AMT whites, and I found them to go very high and spin a lot in the 2-5 iron for me personally, but if that’s what you want, they are worth a look.

I currently play Modus 105s hs/x1 and they fly higher than the DG X100, but fit my swing better. The DG x100’s became too much for me. I felt like I had to jump on everything to get the feedback I was looking for, and I still have plenty of speed (around Tour average)

The KBS tour 120 launched pretty high with a nice amount of spin, they make flighted versions as well. I really like the KBS Tour 120 and 115 R+, but I’m reluctant to get them due to tip bending issues I’ve read about.

I’m thinking of getting some KBS Tour R+ for my backup set of sticks, so if I have tip bending issues I can swap them out. Not everyone experiences tip bending issues, and I most likely wouldn’t because I’m not much of a digger, but I don’t want to be without clubs either.

Happy Hunting!
