Pedersen appreciation

Have seen Pedersen clubs mentioned a few times in the forums but haven’t seen a lot of pics, so thought I would share.  From what I understand Pedersen was a smaller company that made high quality clubs, but I don’t really know much about them.  I am lucky enough to have three Pedersen drivers in my collection, two of which I restored this summer.  I started on the 3rd but realized the shaft was too far gone to save so it’s back in the closet until I am ready to start from scratch with a new shaft.  Of the two below I have gamed the “fifty one” model, and it looks and plays very similar to my Mac M35.  I just finished the Ted Weisser this week, so it won’t see action until next season.  Ted Weisser was a Club Pro in PA from the 20’s through the early 60’s.  I am guessing both these clubs are 50’s persimmon with nice tight grain, but that’s just a guess.  Anyone else have some Pedersen pics to share?

Beautiful woods. I agree, a very underrated company and sadly forgotten. My first sand wedge as a kid was a Pedersen. I've attached a old golf digest ad for Pedersen irons. I wish I had a set.

Got interested in early dunlop maxfli gear some while ago. Pedersen made their gear for them initially in the US. Nice stuff. If I remember the story, when maxfli started making their own gear they hired the designer from Pedersen.

 

Usually a few sets on ebay. Not a fan of the cavity backs but the blades were nice.

 

Only club I have is a pitching wedge built by Pedersen for dunlop that maltby dates to 1961. Classic design to my eye.
