T300 looks

I've been casually watching reviews of the new Titleist irons - and we all know where that will lead - but I'm not trying to buy anything right now...

I've been surprised by how many of the "New Titleist Irons..." videos I've seen where the youtuber picks out the T300s as the ones that surprised them - and they're all presumably very good hitters.

The thing keeping me from pulling the trigger is not the GI size/thickness, it's that "Mi" thing on the back. I understand why they have the shape/mass there, but I don't know if it's the cosmetics, the gimmicky lettering, or what... Good thing I'm not trying to buy anything new right now anyway, haha.

Wood: TaylorMade M6

Hybrid: Taylormade M3

I feel ya. Just look at the “bar” thing on last years model and suddenly the “Mi” thing doesn’t look so bad! 🤣

The guy I was paired with at Gearhart was using T300 rentals. He said he had never played so well with his irons and he certainly beat me with them.

We joked about it being totally honeymoon and if he bought some it would be different. 🤣

5 years ago i was on top of a hill that runs down 170m to a green, big trees right to catch you,and im next to a guy with AP1s, big wide sole, and he slams it 3 feet from the Pin....so i learned to shut up..play what works. The added mass, central mass, toe weights,be it 5 grams etc, its tech that works for us,a bit like ElectricCars..its the new world..so embrace the change.

A guy I run into at the gym that I know plays a lot and is a single digit just told me yesterday he plays the T300. I was surprised because I know he’s a really good player. He said he absolutely loves them.
btw. You said you play at Gearhart. Is that Gearhart Oregon? Home of Discont Dan’s?! The Mecca of awesome golf deals and service!! Haha 😆

Discount Dan's is at Highlands and I got rained out on 3. Gearhart was amazing and is only 90 minutes away, so I will be back a few times a year for sure.

I would like another shot at Highlands, but I hit a house and that is a real buzz kill for me. 🤣

The “M Thing” Max Impact is much better designed than the 2019 version.  As mentione it’s only on the longer irons. Up to 7 I think.

I think these T300 look awesome. Here’s a partial shot of them in my bag.  You know what looks good about the M Thing.  The beautifully high 5 iron I hit the green from 165 out yesterday.  I know that’s not a WRX distance 5.  But previously a 165 would have called for my 7 wood or 5 hybrid.

Boy, can I relate to shots like that.  My distance are far shorter than those quoted on this forum.  Of course, I'm 74 and didn't start playing till I was 67.  However, unlike most new golfers, my distances have been increasing over the years.

That’s awesome!!  I’m 62 and have played off and on since age 17.  I was at my longest about 15 years ago when technology really started making big advances.   Since then my age is outracing technology 😬

It took me a long time to learn this lesson but it's better to have a club considered to be a GI iron in your bag than a club with better "bag appeal" that you don't hit as well.  I had been chasing after that illusive forgiving player's iron for years until I finally got a fitting and got something in the "player's distance" category.  I'd rather be the one taking my playing partner's cash after the round than be the subject of bag envy before the round.

I've never had anyone compliment the looks of my clubs and they're sexy as HeII

NOR have I ever heard anyone compliment the looks of any clubs... never not once! Just compliments for when friends get new clubs...

If you don't like the M on the back just put your favorite sticker over it, you're old so maybe Greta Garbo or Mae West

I try and like my own posts but can't figure out how...

    • APPLY NOW: L.A.B. Golf MEZZ.1 Putter (Early Access) Member Testing! 10 Testers Needed!
L.A.B. Golf is choosing ten GolfWRX members to receive their MEZZ.1 putter early and put their brand new product to the test before reporting back to the community about what they see. The selected testers will be one of the first to experience the MEZZ.1 from L.A.B. GOLF, their newest Lie Angle Balanced design, ahead of it's January 2022 launch!

About The L.A.B. Golf Mezz.1 Putter
MEZZ.1 is our new mid-mallet putter that’s fully CNC machined from a billet of 6061 aircraft aluminum (body) and 303 stainless steel (midsection) to create our best-feeling — and we think best looking — putter to date. It includes 10 weights (eight on the bottom, two on the sides) that allow us to individually build each putter to a golfer’s exact specifications.

      How To Apply
In a post below, answer the following questions.

      1. City, State?
      2. Handicap?
      3. What is your current putter?
      4. Have you ever used a L.A.B. Golf putter?
      5. Why do you want to review the MEAZZ.1 putter?
      6. Do you agree to participate in an ongoing testing thread, posting reviews and photos?

That's it! @labgolf and GolfWRX will choose the testers in about 2 weeks! This testing event is for good-standing members in the USA only!
