About The Cleveland Launcher XL Lite Driver

A bonded hosel without the weight-adding adjustability sleeve, together with an ultra-lightweight shaft, makes this driver 12g lighter and 0.25” longer than the adjustable version, so it swings extra quick. That added speed means more distance off the tee.

 

This is huge: a bigger head with extreme perimeter weighting means an MOI of 5,100 g-cm2. Add that forgiveness to the high launch that comes from low-and-deep weighting, and you’ll enjoy maximum distance with maximum fun. What’s better than one flex zone? Two (duh). A flex zone in the face and a second flex zone in the body of the club work in sequence to direct more of your impact energy into the golf ball, increasing ball speed and distance on every shot.

 

An 8g weight placed inside the end of the grip delivers better balance for more control without extra effort. Thanks to that counterweight, the club head feels light and controllable on the backswing. As you begin your downswing, it also helps you maintain a square swing path with less casting and less slice.

How could a Cleveland Launcher XL Lite driver help your game: I believe that it could be more consistent off the tee. I struggle to keep my drives in the short grass and often come up shorter than my partners. With a more forgiving club, I think I would be able to hit the fairway more consistently.

How could a Cleveland Launcher XL Lite driver help your game: I am on the cusp between a regular and stiff shaft swing speed, and that often yields poor accuracy if I use a regular flex and un-optimized distance with stiff flex. I play longer courses and for my age group I am often left with woods and hybrid shots into par 4’s. I would like to have a lightweight driver that allows me to pick up that little extra speed to push me into the full benefits of a stiff flex and put me in iron distances on my second shots of those par 4’s.
