Okay, yes I type like crap. So what?

So here is the story. Back in the early 90's I went to a golf show in Phoenix and "Black Denim Boy" was there and had a booth for his sh*tty club. Yes he also had a sh*tty club that long ago as well. He is at least consistent. So anyway, he had a distance caddy and a hitting net set up with a daily and a show "Long Drive" event. He had a dry erase board that had the "leader" for both and then had "Jack's" long drive on it.

So I go up and wait in line, pay the entry fee, I don't know maybe $10, and get my 3 balls. The 1st ball I hit, 30 past Crack Ham's. What does he do? Stops dead in his tracks during his little presintation about his sh*tty club and walks over to me and takes the club from me and tells me to leave.

What about the shot that I hit 30 past his that was 30 past the "average"leader, he says it was a mis-read and now the machine is broken. Contest over. BEAT IT.

With all this being said, he as been offered an invitation to many "World Championships" and has never showed. Why? Because he would get his "Black Denim *ss" handed to him.
ROFL, that is a great story. I was playing a few weeks ago and the course was crowded so I was talking to the group ahead of us before we Teed off on a par 4, the guy had the Hammer driver and three wood and said he loved them...Then proceeds to shank one left.

I had no idea that they were illegal. Honestly though anyone who is enough of a desperate hack to buy those clubs can have all of the COR they want its not going to make a difference. No offense to the original poster of course, were glad you came on here to inquire about this BS product. Its junk, and I can assure you that if its in the bag of your playing partner he's playing a practical joke or a complete hack.

"Jack Hamm, 6-time World Champion, is proud to bring you innovative, leading-edge technology in Golf, Tennis, and sports products.

Touted as "The Man with the Perfect Swing", Jack Hamm consistently drives the ball over 400 yards (averaging 260+ yards with his 8 iron!) - longer than most tour players hit their drivers."

Super Pro Driver Technical Specifications

Flex Smart Shaft Technology: One shaft fits everyone and adjusts to each person's swing.

Speed 20 yards faster than any other driver

Sweet Spot Biggest sweet spot ever because the shaped flat shaft tracks and aligns the face right into the ball

Loft 9.75° degrees - the boring trajectory is created from the Shaped Shaft Technology

Shaft Shaped Shaft is flat like a sword to tear through the air faster

a shaft that adjusts to everyone? would you care to explain how that works, X-Factor Sports?

The Hammer was actually developed at a top secret Government facility. They determined that the "Holy Grail" or triad of golf technology were the following: G Force Technology (Ever Heard of the F-16), Zolex (Top Secret Metal developed during the Apollo program) and smart shaft (obviously better than its evil twin Dumb Shaft).

The Hammer is the first and ONLY driver to bring together these three technolgies in one driver.

Newman.....my favorite post so far in '08. These responses have to go down as one the of the classic posts ever. LMFAO! :man_in_love::D:cry:

I love this too: "Top 10 reasons why you need one of these drivers"

10. Shaped Shaft and Head Technology reduce drag, creating the World's Fastest Driver. (and the world's lamest sales pitch)

9. These drivers really work, and will be the best golf investment you've ever made. (really???) (but can I afford it and The Perfect Club too?)

8. 60-year-old golfers can now hit it 300 yards and feel young again on the tee box. (isn't that what Viagra's for??)

7. The other guys in your foursome will be jealous, because you're now 20 yards longer. (but that'll be balanced out by the fact that you're wearing tight black jeans)

6. These drivers are DEAD STRAIGHT. Our Shaped Shaft Technology creates the biggest sweet spot ever seen, because it aligns the sweet spot to the ball. These drivers can cure any slice. Round shafts twist during your swing and spray the ball all over the place. The Aerospeed shaft being flat doesn't twist like a round shaft and keeps the ball dead on line. (and if you sail too close to the edge of the earth you'll fall off into space)

5. 20 easy yards can save you 10 shots a round and drop your handicap by 5 strokes. (1 easy woman and a bottle of Jack can land you in jail)

4. Take your longest drive right now and add 20 yards to it. (now multiply by the square root of pi and subtract 47...)

3. No one else has this technology: compared to these drivers, all competitive drivers are slow and outdated. (so are the people that bought the club)

2. It is physically impossible not to add more yards to your tee shot with the Shaped Head and Shaft Technology. (it's also physically impossible to lick your elbow)

and the number one reason you need one of these clubs:

1. 20 More Yards on the next Tee Shot - because the distance is built right into these clubs. (you should see how far they fly when you throw them)

Any lefty versions?
Yeah, it's built in to the club. It's their patented 180° technology. You hold the club with a left-handed grip, then rotate the shaft 180° (clockwise or counter-clockwise, it's "smart" so it doesn't matter). Voila! You now have the left-handed version!

Beware, I think this version is a bit more expensive, but they say it's worth it. I believe it's called SouthPOW...

And, please put 64/68/72 wedges into your bag.
The hammer is just too long, you need those short wedges, rather than mid/long irons, to attack greens.

I Haven't stopped laughing since I opened this post and I am still laughing while I am typing this! LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Me either! This club is rediculous! Honestly though, the golf store I worked in got one of these in on trade once, club was basically brand new, I guess the guy bought it and looked down at it when it arrived and thought he was going to throw up. So at the store we put this club on the launch monitor to see if the claims are true, and I have data that PROVES that this club sucks major a**! No one could carry the ball more than 270, and then when as soon as we switched to TM, CAllaway, Clevelend, or whoever we instantly picked up 20 yards....What a POS!

Although I have thoroughly enjoyed laughing my way thru this thread, I must point out an error. Early in the thread, ENGLISHBOB stated that the Hammer was good for beating gophers. This is absolutely not the case. Every gopher that I have hit with it goes a few yards then takes a nasty nosedive to the left.

Wow I didn't htink I'd get this much of an uproar, from the wrx crew. I don't have one and have never thought of getting one just thought the commercial was histerical, and wondered if anyone had ever tried it. I especially was curious about this Mr. Hamm guy who is supposedly so long with this club, but why have I never heard of him in the Long Drive competitions. Hell I'd even heard of the geezer on big break last season. Thanks for all of the feed back it looks like Hamm is a Sham! PPPPPOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWW!!!!!

Yes, but yours are Michigan Gophers, California Gophers have stiffer spines and blunter noses, they have more carry and less roll.
