Orlando Golf Course Recommendation

Going down to FL in a week. Wife and her friend will be at the Disney Resort and me and the other hubby are playing 3 full days of golf. 

 

1st day, we are playing Grand Cypress before it shuts down on the 15th for overseeding. Heading over to WP9 after. 

 

2nd day, we are thinking Shingle Creek, Southern Dunes or Championsgate National (International just overseeded and it's not in the best condition). 

 

3rd day, Palm & Lake Buena Vista at Disney (Magnolia is closed for overseeding) as Disney right now has free replay. 

 

So what would be your pick for the 2nd day? Or if there is another course that I missed that should absolutely be included, please let me know (we both played Waldorf, both Orange county national in the past and we would like to try new courses)

Southern Dunes or Champions gate Country Club.

played them both last week and both are in great shape.

Southern Dunes would be my first choice by far.

Southern Dunes by a mile.  They ruined Shingle Creek with the re-design.  It became the punchline to 'what course you wanna play' when my club was closed for aeration.  

 

I'd also look at ChampionsGate Country Club (not the resort).  I think the resort blows, too.  But the CC is quite good.  Having said that, I'd still take Southern Dunes over ChampionsGate CC.  There's also Waldorf Astoria, but that may be too pricey.

I’m headed over tomorrow with an 8 guy group.  Southern dunes on Thursday, Bella Collina Friday, Orange Lake Legends and Preserve Saturday, and Grand Cypress Links on Sunday.

How was Grand Cypress Links? Headed to Sea World with the family and got the okay to sneak away the day of checkout for a morning round.

It was the highlight of the trip.  Only downfall is there was a lot of construction with the new resort being built and they were in a temporary clubhouse with no dining and no range.  The golf course and the conditioning made up for it.  Best bloody Mary’s we had on course as well.
