He was in the top 50 a couple times.  A stat where rank does not tell the true story.  He has averaged 291-297 his whole career. Not one of the long bombers but not exactly a drop in distance that would change his game either.

Rank shows there are more long players in the game today…..not that an individual is gaining or losing yardage year over year.

Nah. That's likely only for feel. That is an insignificant amount of tape. It will not affect ballflight one bit. 

 

But put just 2-3g of tape out on the toe and the head will feel heavier. That can affect delivery.

I honestly think it is just a combination of putting the tape where it won't get peeled off by a tee/the turf and since that basically means heel or toe, you pick the side that makes sense for your miss for "comfort".

Someone posted this on the PXG Fan Forum Group on Facebook.  I am not surprised, the Gen4 driver is really good.  Wyndham Clark is 4th in driving distance and he is using it.  Luke List is up there too and he is using it.

 

I said this a few years ago .. he is a ball striker and I'd love to see him play more PXG sticks personally.  Unfortunately, I think he had a vested interested in Grindworks and probably wouldn't use anything but this irons and wedges ..

Love or hate him, he will be back in the winner’s circle. He is not great off the tee, that is his weakness. But he can compete distance wise and his game around the greens is as good as any. When he gets the putter going, he contends. He was up there last week because he holed a lot of putts.

always felt he is slack in the conditioning area. no doubt he has his reasons. he looks a tad flabby for a top25 type player. better muscle tone and some weight movement could help his swing. while back he was pretty chiseled, for him...but...there are those people who play better as stocky sorts...jpdk

Hard to say if loosing weight and adding muscle would improve his game or not.  I know Nicklaus lost weight in the late 60's but I'm not convinced it had an effect on his game.
