Sim 2 vs Tsi4

Anyone put these 2 side by side testing? Curious on numbers for Sim 2 before I spend more money lol

I recently switched from tsi3 to tsi4 bc I was just spinning the tsi3 too much.

Tsi3 3500 rpm average

Tsi4 2040-2170 rpm average

115-119 club head speed

170 ball speed

Both tested with hzrdus blue rdx 6.5 60g and hzrdus Green 6.5tx 60g PVD.

Same results both shafts in both heads

OG Sim is lower spinning than the 2 if you were to look that direction first.  But something doesn't make sense to drop 1.4k from the TSi3 to TSi4.

I would not recommend moving to the TSi4 just because you need a spin reduction. If you are spinning the TSi3 3500RPM something else is wrong. There's plenty of people playing the 3 or even the TSi2 at under 2600RPM easily.

The TSi4 is a terribly unforgiving driver head.

Tsi4 will have lower spin than the Sim2 for the majority of players that can actually hit it straight.

Why doesn't it? Both 8 degree head both A1 setting. I think it's just my swing, I hit my old M1 great with both weights up front

Why doesn't it?  Well, because the heads aren't that different and the vast majority of people trying between the two might only see around 400 rpm less.  1.4k is a complete outlier.

If you are spinning a driver 3.5k, it's more than likely a swing/strike issue, not a club head issue, but enjoy the honeymoon I guess.

I had a hard time keeping my spin down with my old TS3 that when the TSis came out, I gave the TSi4 a go.

God almighty, I couldn't keep it in the air. That is not a driver for the masses one bit. Wound up exchanging it to my now beloved TSi3 with a Diamana D+ that's helped tremendously. Maybe consider a different shaft on your TSi3?

Wasn’t the OG M1 ridiculously low spin and a bad fit for most players? Likely the same reason the TSi4 is being considered.

Go with the TSi4.  It gave me lower spin numbers than the SIM 2 I have in my bag by about 300 rpm on average when I demoed it at the local store.

That said, why do you (or people in general) come here and ask for advice/opinions and then tell the people that are answering your questions that they are wrong?

I'm not exactly sure what your referring too, I asked a question then posted my numbers between the tsi3 and tsi4. I was them told I'm wrong even though I did side by side test with exact shaft.

Hilarious, a few posts in and I thought the same thing.  Reminds of when my wife asks my opinion, why bother🤣.  I will say, while the original posters results are probably not the norm, good on you for finding a head that gets you to the RPM'S you're looking for.  I personally only saw about a 400 drop from TSI 3 to 4.

Looks like numbers with TSi4 are ideal then. Why not stick with that?

I would expect the Sim2 to spin quite a bit more than the TSi4, maybe even more than the TSi3.  Like a previous poster said, the OG SIM is probably a better option for low spin if that's what you are looking for, or an 8* SIM2 lofted down possibly?

This is just not true. (No offense intended) I had the TS4, which was supposed to be unforgiving, and I never found that to be the case.  That being said, I now have a TSi4, and believe it to be more forgiving than the TS4.  I am just down stream from my 4th back surgery in the last 3 years and am struggling with consistency and finding the middle.  I don't have any issues at all playing my TSi4.

it is surprisingly easy to hit.

Only way to know for sure is to try.  People seem to forget that we as golfers react to the club as well.  I different shape, face angle, appearance at address, size, or feel can easily lead to a different delivery based on our own personal reaction to it.  Maybe your strike has just improved due to something as simple as the size of the face.   Whatever it is it seems to be working for you, so go for it.

You didn't plan to fail, you failed to plan!
