Srixon Z585 Driver- long term reviews and thoughts?

I know this sounds crazy. I had a 565 which I love the look of but the extreme left bias and the tinny sound were a bit much. I want to hit a draw as my stock shot with the driver. I have a Ping G400 with the stock stiff shaft. I'm a medium high medium spin player, probably average around 100 mph with the driver. I had heard people raving about the newer Srixon drivers so I thought I would try the 585 with the stock HZRDUS Red stiff shaft.

If you've lived with this driver for a while, what are you thoughts? My hope is that with a decent swing I can become a high draw machine of the tee.

Good driver.  It is left biased, but I didn’t find it horrible.  Wasn’t really sold on project x red.   I swapped it out for a Mitsubishi orange and really enjoyed the driver.  I did get the new zx7 and put the Mitsubishi orange in it and I like it too.  Not as draw biased, but can adjust it to open or closed face angle.

Thank you! Have you compared the 585 to a Ping or any other drivers?

I just put the Z585 back in the bag.

Long story short, I had a G400 Max that I loved and sold right before the pandemic to buy a Cobra Speedzone (big mistake).  I cycled through multiple G410s and a G425 over the past year.  Last August I did the MGS Truefit.com and it spat out the Z585. I used it for a month and played really well with it. But needed a 9.5* instead of the 10.5*.  I jumped back on the PING hamster wheel for a months before going back to the Z565.

I like the sound/feel MUCH better than the G425. It does have a left/right bias. I hit a draw as my stock shot though. It's not as forgiving as the G400 Max...to me it's a slightly draw biased G410 Plus.

Thank you. Do you feel the driver is workable?

I generally only use my stock shot. So I'm not good enough at working the ball to say....

My mistake, it's Truefitgolf.com.  Spinoff of Not allowed because of spam site that does fittings for $9.  You throw in your numbers and it spits out a fit. I did it one a whim when a buddy had good luck with it. I plugged in my LM numbers from a recent lesson and info and  spit out the Z585.

I am sure that Srixon/Cleveland will be getting some much deserved pub with The recent signing of Brooks Kepka.

He is set to use the ZX5 driver. I recently picked up the Z858 driver with the Project X HZRDOUS red, but have not golfed since I received it. Hopefully in Spring I would be able to report back.

    • Sony Open Pics from January 11, 2022 Part 1
I was able to get out to the Sony Open today to take a few pics.  I guess due to Covid precautions they kept the spectators pretty far from the players.  Also due to camera restrictions they've put in place, I wasn't able to bring the big lens like I normally do. Hopefully they'll ease up on the ropes and I'll be able to get more pics tomorrow!
