Driver Keeps Cracking on the Face!

My club head speed is around 115mph and I cracked a Callaway Epic Flash Sub Zero. I got a replacement and haven't had an issue since but I'm constantly checking the club face now. Haven't heard any issues on the newer Callaway stuff.

OP if you’re interested here’s a promo code from krank. It’s good on head only purchases as well. Do not buy the high cor version. You probably couldn’t even half swing it, buy the PRO or LD version.

Lol. Bryson has problems with his driver too. I hear it sucks.

Where did u hear that lol

Luckily I swing slow enough I don't have to worry about these things..

Playing with a friend this year and we both hit.. Get up to my ball and he says do u know what's between your ball and mine.. I was like no... He says Costco lol

Ping surprisingly has been the worst for me lately. Crown on my 400Max catastrophically failed perpendicular to the face last November (Granted it was the best driver I've ever hit over the previous 18 months.) Then they didn't have any replacement stock so they sent me a 410LST that failed the same as yours after very little practice or play in April. They again had no replacement stock so I got a 425Max , that I had to send in last week because the weight screw sheared in half . Luckily they were able to simple remove and replace the screw.

Just bad luck in a lot of ways. Though I did just crack the face of my p770 five iron...Maybe we are just hard on clubs.

When I got into golf serious in 2013 I snapped 2 g25 drivers right above the ferrule. My strike migrated towards the middle of the face and I haven’t had any issues since. I was around 110-112 at the time. If you have any speed if you don’t hit the club where it’s designed to be hit, it won’t wil fail.

Reviving an old topic but just cracked the crown of a 410LST. Considering the club head is 3 years old how accommodating is Ping a rectifying these types of situations? Any idea on the turnaround time?

I'm curious about this too. Just found a 1/2" crack on the face of my 410 LST, about a 1/2" above the COG. I've historically been in the 105 mph CHS range but have jumped up to the 115 mph mark this season.

Did ping help you out?

I've cracked 3 heads over my life time and my ss used to be the same as yours but now 118 due to various injuries and age.  Besides your high ss, the issue is clearly on Ping's end you should switch to something else.

Ping is traditionally pretty good when it comes to warranty replacements and customer service in general. That being said, there isn’t a direct or specific answer to your question. I’d be willing to bet they would replace the club as long as you could determine it wasn’t abused and the failure was caused during the course of normal use, but depending on its age, you might get a different model based on availability. Directly from Ping’s website…

At PING, we stand behind the workmanship and the materials involved in the manufacturing and production of our equipment and accessories. Our current policies protect your purchase from defect and are evaluated on an as needed basis. If you have any questions regarding our policies that protect your PING investment please feel free to call (800) 474-6434 and we would be happy to discuss your situation and provide the options that may be available.

I had this issue with a particular driver.  Had to buy 3 more of these drivers.  They cracked high on the face.  But it was essentially my fault... I would hit hard range balls when the temperature was 32 degrees or less.  I'm a practicing animal!

Good grief, what are you guys doing to these drivers?

I've played every Ping driver since the G30 and never had an issue.

Of course I max out at 110 swinging out of my shoes.
