Good old Tour Wraps and sometimes Tacki Mac Tour Pro Wraps--- Like my esteemed pal Left Hack I am a club ho and I do put mine on and off using air. I have quite a few Tour Wraps that have been on and off so many cubs. Never have had a slippage problem with either the grips or hands. I just wipe them down with plain water and they are good to go--- Now back in the day I was a die hard fan of the old GP Crown Cords and they last forever.

I have had mixed results trying to use air, but all the grips I tried to remove had been on for less than a month with Golf works two sided tape. I always got a bubble that bursts before I manage to work it.

My v groove grip tool should be here soon, I hope to blow out less that way.

When you use air on grips you do not need to install with double sided tape just use regular painters tape. And a word of caution never ever use more than 30 PSI on a grip. With the V grip tool if you get it soaked good you can pull it off by hand or use air. Another thing is sometimes full cord grips can be a PITA putting on or off with air

How do you find the Tacki-Mac quality of grips.

I like the Royal STS Cord or the old GP Tour Velvet cord, but I have seen some Tacki- Mac Tour Select Cord for a fair price 🤔

I had TackiMacs on my Pings for almost 15 years and a good cleaning was all it took. I had maybe 2 dozen rounds total in that time, though.

At one point, it was NDMCCs then Iomic Stickys but I have a gripe. The first set of Iomics were unbelievable. It was 2013 and I swear these grips lasted for 3 years (At least 80 rounds a year + beating balls, etc). It sounds unlikely but I didn't change grips until I changed irons.  Since then, I've found the new formula seems to wear a lot faster and may be a tad less tacky. I found the same thing with hydro flask water bottles. The first one I had was in 2016 and this damn thing used to keep a drink cold for like 20 hours. So I bought another one from amazon for convenience and it is not nearly as effective. It also has a rough texture v. smooth. Point being, after a product gets a reasonable amount of recognitions, it seems that a company may try to cut costs to maximize profits and in turn the quality suffers. In returning to grips,  I may go back to NDMCCs because you save $6 a grip and I play less.

Currently in the MCC Plus4s Midsize. Probably up for new grips end of 2022, right now kinda wish these had just a hair less taper on the lower hand, and a bit more thickness but the feel is great. I might looks at the Lamkin ST+2 Hybrid, JumboMax UltraLite or Winn Dri-Tac LT. Might have to buy a few try them out and decide.

I used to use only Tour Velvets. After trying out the Pure Pro grips, I’ve made the switch. I still like the Tour Velvets, but I like the Pure Pro more.

How is the durability? They look similar to Iomic, but that's judging from photos.

If you are planning on keeping your irons for a few years or more, leather grips are the best way to go. But let's be real here @ Golfwrx, no one is going to keep them that long. If not leather, the No 1 Pro's are the best I've ever found for grip and durability.

The answer to better golf is work your butt off and learn how to hit it better, farther, and make more putts.

Best Grips!

I second BestGrips!  The MicroPerf is such a great grip.  I do with Zach would offer the old leather wrapped grips that GripmasterUSA sold back in the mid 2000s (the leather wrap that was on Cameron American Classic VII and studio putters).  Zach has told me those wraps will not be making a re-appearance.  😦

GripMaster- I started with one set and now have them on all my sets-(4). Gloves last me a whole season. My original set of grips are going on 4 seasons with about 175 rounds on them Still super tacky and soft. I've had no issues with weather cold, rain, humidity. They're great

Are those from Pure? Or a different brand?

Iomic Sticky 2.3.

Medium firmness, tacky and extremely durable.

Will have to take those for a test drive too.  Had the first gen Iomics and loved them, but shredded them pretty quickly, and they were costly when they were first introduced!

Good old GP Tour Velvet .58R with 1 extra wrap + 2 wraps under the right hand…been the go to for a long time. But I’ve experimented with a couple of Lamkin Sonar + this summer, it’s a nice grip and wears really well…might be a change in the future.
