Fujimoto vs Seven vs Kyoei

Seven looks nice but is wayyyy over rated.  They didn't feel too good either which of course is subjective. No where close to Kyoei feel... again subjective.

I’ve heard kyoei has a wonderful feeling but in what way? I also play fujimoto ft1 and love them more than Epon personal, Miura baby blade and Miura Giken tbzero. All of them are completely different feeling though. I know fujimoto claims to be the “softest” but not really sure as I’ve never hit the kyoei or seven. Don’t think the milling justifies the price for the seven though. Just my opinion

Just put in the bag a set of Corey Paul muscle back blade irons that are japan forged I believe by Fujimoto. Love them so far.  Playing the 6-PW but have the 4 & 5 as well. Paired them with KBS $-Taper 120 g stiff shafts, BB&F Delores ferrules and SuperStroke Traxion Wrap black midsize grips.  Playing at D3 swingweight.  Lofts and lies bent to my specs.  46 degree PW, 4 degree gaps.

I have a set of the kyeoi 1964 and I like them but know they have traditional lofts. I also have a set of makino ltd in a copper finish with traditional lofts.  A lot less offset in the kyeois. I didn’t like the kyeoi mbs at all the lofts are too strong in the long irons for me. Shape wise I think I like the 1964s better than the makinos but they could be a little smaller. Same with the seven MB’s very strong lofts and as was said nothing special feel or shape wise. Definitely not a true blade.

You might look into a set of masda MB’s there’s a set on eBay right now 4-p. They are Kyoei forged have long hosels and the best shape of any iron I’ve ever seen.  They aren’t a small blade by blade standards though.

I also have a set of miuraism sb1 that are sweet but the shape of the Masdas are better IMO. But the Miuraisms are great if you want a super small blade length wise. They blow the us baby blade version out of the water fyi.

I was under the impression that fujimoto doesn’t do their own forgings. At least with kyoei you know it’s all done in house. Last set id recommend looking at is the CGS Orion’s but I’ve never seen them in person. Or the a grind r1 which are medium sized but are very nice with basically no offset and have 1 degree weak lofts based off a 47 degree pw. I would like to try a set with these lofts that are 1 degree weak was also looking today at the Miura tournament blades or 5001 but the latter are impossible to find it looks like.
