Once in hand all 4 look really good. I played the BB-8W last year and this years is for sure better. Little softer feel and the blade length, from heel to toe, is a little shorter. To my eye it looks a little more proportional and the corners look a little more rounded off. Probably going in the bag as I type this!

The mallet looks good but seems to be a strange design.  I think the stability of a mallet comes from having weight at the rear corners for MOI.  having a hollowed aluminum rear section seems counter to that.  Maybe its a forward cg mallet like TM tried.

How's the sound? Last model was a little "tinny" imo. Still gamed it for a season, comb'd with 135tpz. It was money.

I was able to get the limited blackout edition yesterday , hope it ships soon as the clubs are going away for the winter in a week or two.

Nice observations. I also played last year’s BB-8W and while I did like the firm

feel and think it’s a great putter, the one thing that bugged me about it was I thought the blade length was a little too long. This one looks a little shorter and smoother overall. I like it. 
 

The Inovai 8.0 wins most improved. I’ve been rolling some of these larger mallets lately — Heppler Ketsch, Bobby Grace Fat Lady, Cobra Agera — and the stability is noticeable. Are they going to offer the Inovai with hosel options? I’ll bet it rolls great. The more I look at it, the more I like it. I’d remove that white sight line paint fill and just use the multiple perpendicular lines on the head, all in black.

My 8.0 slant neck came and I’m shocked at how much I like it. RC face is a huge improvement over the FIT. Feels remarkably stable for how compact the head is too. I’m happy to admit I was wrong about this putter - they did good on this.

Every year on Black Friday they sell all their new line in blackout and you get them 3 months early. It’s pretty safe to buy one since they hold their value so well. Last years sold for well over asking price most of the year. This year the demand wasn’t there for the BB putters because they’re already black. Next year there will be blackout queen B and studio stock which is a lot more unique. I think it looks great on the 8.0 though even though the normal one is primarily black too.

Appreciate the information. I wish I would've pounced on a 8.0. March is a longgggg time away.
