From what I have read, Discountdansgolf does not sell the 0211...probably due to price they can't make $ on them and as they offer FREE SHIPPING (and no sales tax) it simply is not worth it.

Actually it is because PXG mandates that the 0211 series is Direct to Consumer only from PXG.

DD cannot sell them as I called them a while back about a set of 0211DC.

Notified today that my irons have already shipped.  Delivery Friday projected.  10 days from ordering to delivery.  Not bad!!

Not trying to be a jerk or anything, but what do you feel packing, materials, shipping and insurance should cost? I think Amazon has spoiled a lot of people. And my shipping to Canada was only $50 CDN.

I agree Amazon has set a level of expectation in shipping cost and delivery time.

I’ve been waiting since early September for my 2021 P790’s to ship.  Taylormade has now promised mid-December delivery.  Because I’m an Eagle member, they will ship free.  By the way, their cost has gone up to $214 per club (graphite).

PXG Gen 3 irons go for $135 / club (graphite - MMT in both examples) and I received them in a week.  Stupid me for paying the $60 shipping fee. 😂

In each buying decision, it’s an individual choice on the value proposition.  For me, the $8.57 charge per club for shipping still made it a bargain.  If that keeps you from buying them, I understand and accept that.

Would it “look” better if PXG charged $143.57 per club and provided “Free Shipping”?

Honestly to your last question I think, for a lot of people, $10 more per club but FREE SHIPPING (when shipping costs $8.50/club) actually makes them feel better about a deal.

I just shipped a set of irons from KY to Arizona and it cost me $44 and change with insurance...so $60 for the big box makes sense now (to me).

  • 2 weeks later...

Played with my Gen 3 irons for 18 holes for the first time today. I’m a scratch golfer but have struggled with my iron game this year with my Muira blades. Shot my first round in the 60s with them my first round out with a 69. What I found with the elevate shafts is that if you wait on them, they will perform and are a workhouse. My steel fibers were fit to me but I’m going to see how these shafts keep working. Overall, much more forgiving and about 3/4 of a club longer. Very pleased so far.

Sorry if it was already mentioned, I went on the PXG site when I heard about the sale. 0211 $77 a club. 0311 gen 4, $133 a club. Is PXG struggling with sales? Their premium line is cheaper than most name brands. I bought the driver when it was $299, I see it's that price again.

Have you hit the 0211STs to compare to the Gen3? I have a Gen3T 4 iron coming but had thought about mixing the Gen3 with the 0211 ST. My worry is if the Gen3 are that long I’ll have a big gap where I switch models.

I have not. I will say that the Gen 3s are as long as the old TM Rocketbladez. Hitting the 4 iron about 20 yards longer than my Muira 4 iron.

Played again today and shot -1. They are just performing like crazy right now. Now if I could get the putter hot.

So mine came back and they were still wrong.  I told them that I would handle it myself and needed new grips so I could  finish the SW procedure myself.  They look sweet but how hard is it to put a tip weight into the end of the shaft?

My 6 iron was 6° strong. Six degrees. No problem ending it back to standard, but good lord.

They had my SW specs  and when they came back the second time the SW were exactly the same as when they were first delivered.  NO change whatsoever.  So I ma gonna just remove the grips and put tungsten in them and cork to the desired weight.  I will pull the grips and sell all 12 of them and get the grips I want.

I am talking to them now about my options. I do not have the ability to check loft and lie so I am not confident those specs are correct either.

Just send them back.  Are you sure the measurements are wrong.  They have different "standard " lengths. And they may be measuring in way that is different from you

Well, after reading this last part of this thread and feeling like my irons were short compared to my old irons, I checked them today and they are all .5” short of their listed spec on line. I’ve been playing well with them but I definitely feel like their short when swinging them. So…now I’m wondering about loft and lie. Thinking I’m going to have to contact them to get it corrected though.

I contacted PXG and they asked for pictures of the irons that show the length. Plan on sending those in tomorrow.
