Anyone mix and match wedge brands?

We know many people on here mix and match brands within their bag but anyone do it within their wedge set? I am really picky when it comes to a wedge fitting my eye and for some reason Clevelands in lob wedge and a vokey in 54 for more delicate shots just works.

For me, I prefer my wedges (GW & SW) to be the same make and model because I want a consistent feel and look in my bad.

Right now I have a Lazrus sand wedge with Haywood pitch and gap. I will be buying a sand wedge to match because I have issues.

When I did the Vokey online fitter, it recommended the standard T grind. The standard grind on the Lazrus and the Haywood seem to work well. But it could be my imagination as I haven't tried a ton of wedges.

I ended up mixing this year to get the bounce/grind options I wanted.

The world did not end.

It helps that they are still generally the same shape.

I have a mixed set currently. Apex 21 for my irons where I go 5-AW (48*).

I use an MD5 52 S grind as my GapGap wedge, and a Glide 3.0 EYE2 58* as my LW. I got fit recently and will replace the 58 with a Cleveland RTX Zipcore Full Face.

While I wanted to have a matching set for my two specialty wedges, I couldn’t deny that a mixed set helps me get exactly what I want out of each spot in my bag.

I've got a mix, I play a Ping Glide 2.0 56° 12 bounce,  and a TaylorMade HiToe 60° 7 bounce.

They're totally different clubs for different use cases. 56° is my security blanket and I have the 60° to carve in and get the ball up and down quick.

I had a Glide 60, but didn't have the turf interaction I'm looking for.

Gap is set i500, Glide 2.0 Gap in the closet.

I’ve got my PXG PW that came with the set and currently have a Bettinardi GW and SW and recently added a TM MG3 for the lob but I’ve got a couple other wedges coming so that may not last.

TM Sim2 3 wood- Ventus Blue 7X
TM Sim2 5 wood- Ventus Red 8X/Callaway Epic Super Hybrid Tour 19* AD DI 95X (I go between the 5W and hybrid at times).

Used to want to play a matching wedge set but now just play with what works. Have had 4 different wedge brands in the bag at one point, if you include the pitching wedge.

I gamed Mizuno S18 wedges for a few years.  Still have the 54* SW in the bag, as nothing can seem to knock it out.

Last year I started looking for a GW with some leading edge relief or perhaps a v-sole similar to Srixon's.  Most of the fairways here in west FL are lush and soft, and the sharp leading edge of my 50* S18 wasn't helping.

Wound up with Vegas (VW-08 and VW-10), that have a similar "blunted" leading edge like you see in some Miura irons.  Very happy with the results.

Also added a Yururi 58* with the same leading edge, that gets some time in the bag depending on the course.

So my current makeup is Mizuno, Vega and Yururi.  I get people who need matching wedges, but for me its whatever works...

I did for a long time. Played Vokey, Cleveland, or Ping blade SW but carried an Eye2 Becu LW. Then was fitted at Ping and put a set of Tour S Rustique wedges with wrx combo grinds and have carried matching wedges ever since.

Most of my golfing life I have mismatched brands of wedges--- I play whatever works and like I have said many times I am probably the most brand Agnostic guy on WRX----- Now days looking at my signature I do have 2 Cally wedges but at least they are different models and styles and then the PW is a TM that goes with the rest of the irons. And since I only carry 12 clubs as SOP on courses with real fluffy greenside sand I will slip in either my old Hogan Sure out or a Ping Zing 60

Pxg set Gw (50), Cleveland Zipcore Sw (54), TM Hi Toe in Lw (60).  For me each one plays a significant role so I play what works. If you look at my bag it’s a complete mix, but each club serves its own purpose.
Pxg driver

Tm 3 wood

Cobra 5 wood

Tm UDI driving iron

Cobra hybrid

Pxg or Mizuno irons

Cleveland/Tm wedges

Mannkrafted putter

TM/Srixon ball

Again for me, each one has its own place in my bag for a certain purpose.
