I need grips suggestions.

I love corded grips. I think only real men play cords. But they are getting. A little firm for me. I do stretch them quite a bit, I’m normally standard plus 3 wraps. I don’t care for midsize.

 

I need grips that are a tad bit softer and are still kinda rough. I’m willing to give up on the cord, but I don’t want a super spongy grip.
 

Id like to stay away from golf pride stuff as I think they are generally over priced. Although I do love the Z cord, which is my #1

I cant recommend the royal Grip full cord grips enough.  Little bit of reduced taper, a little softer than some other cord offerings, and the last few times I ordered the were but 9 get 4 free.  Great grip, good luck

Lamkin Crossline Cord will be softer than Z Cord if you still want a full cord grip.

I picked these up because I was having a hard time finding my tour velvet cords. 
They are a really nice grip for the price.

Another plus for crossline cord. A nicer feel than z cords for sure.

They are very polarizing, but from your description check out the Pure DTX, might be a good fit. Definitely try one before you do a full set.

Tried these, I think they are wildly underrated. I thought they were pretty firm.

 

I know building up will firm them us as they stretch. Just wish there was a really soft full cord

Maybe one of the corded combo grips - have you tried MCC or MCC+4?

No. 1 50 Pro Series. Rough, and not spongy, with tons of stickiness. Price might scare you away, though.

Sounds like you need Lamkin UTX, they are a full cord grip that's a bit softer.  Nice reviews on them out there and while I haven't played them they feel really good in hand in the golf shop I work at.

Still really firm. But they are some of my favorites.

 

pulled the trigger on 3 Iomics. Will report back

I don't think I knew about those, I wouldn't mind giving them a try. they look nice

I switched to the Lamkin ST+2 grips this season and have really enjoyed them.  A shade easier on your hands than the UTX for Crossline Full Cords, but still plenty of traction and tack.
