The 150th Open & Ireland 2022

I'm gathering our itinerary for our Ireland trip July next year.

We're attending the open over the weekend (don't know which day/days yet but I won the ballot and have tickets for the whole week) then Ireland for another 10 days or so.

So for I've gathered:

 

Dublin

The European Club

Old Head

Waterville

Dooks

Tralee

Ballybunion 

Doonbeg

Lahinch

The Cliffs or Moher (a stop between courses)

Portmarnock

Dublin

 

Is there any course you'll take out?

If any, Dooks is on the cutting board.

 

We have an agent who would book the tee times, lodging and provide transportation.

Local attraction, restaurant and pub suggestions will be appreciated as well.

We just did our trip in October. First off you have a great lineup scheduled. We played Corballis, Druids Glen,  Doonbeg, Lahinch x2 , Ballybunion x2, and Tralee x2. We did it a little different on this trip than we usually do. Instead of playing our normal 9 courses we picked three (Lahinch, Ballybunion, and Tralee) to play twice. Best decision we’ve ever made on our trips. Having a second crack at those great courses with a feel for the holes was awesome! We will catch Waterville, Old Head, Adare Manor, and The European Club on the next trip. It just would have been so much driving around to add those other courses in. No doubt, you will enjoy them all…. Only regret was I wish we would have played The Island while we were in Dublin. In my opinion and those of the locals we met, it’s layout, design, and terrain put it head and shoulders above Portmarnock and Dublin. This is our first time in Ireland so we (me and my boyfriend) want to play as many as possible.

We'll have the luxury to pick and choose next time for sure!
