Just because your 5w and hybrid are the same lofts doesn't mean you hit them the same distances. My 5w and hybrid are the same lofts and I can hit the 5w about 15 yds further with a stock swing. Your mileage may vary and I may have missed you post the actual distances somewhere.

I understand that. My hybrid and 5W are only like 5yds difference not much at all. The reason I went ahead and got a 4 iron and keeping the hybrid instead of 5W is because I can hit those better that a 5W.

I have about a 15yd gap between my PW and 52. That's kinda hard to fill

That being said, going 46 pw to 52 gw is a pretty common setup even for high swing speed players, there's a lot of examples both on tour and in low hcp amateurs bags. It could be perfectly fine. Loft alone will not tell the whole story though, there's a lot more going into it. Are you going GI with super hot face pw into blade gw? That might widen the gap. Do you swing the gw as full as you do with the pw? If not, that's also going to widen the gap. On the other hand, does the pw have more offset than the gw? If so, offset increases dynamic loft at impact, so while the loft gap on paper might be 6*, the difference in delivered will be smaller than that. Also set PW's have lower CG than specialty wedges most of the time, which promotes higher launch, and therefore would also decrease the gap.

These are only a few examples why loft alone is not going to tell much. So many variables. Go hit them both with your stock swings for either club and check the gap, see if it works for you. If not, just bend the gw strong or the pw weak, depending on which one makes more sense with gapping into your other irons and wedges. In my opinion, I certainly wouldn't need another club in there but rather have them bent for a few bucks, but that's just me.
