Good to see the old Adams Tightlies in your bag.  Still got a 3 in mine that's been there since the mid 2000s.  Will be hard for something to ever replace it.  I can hit it straight from anywhere on the course and the yardage hasn't dropped like some of my other clubs.  When nothing else is working for me the 3 will. 

 

I also have the matching 5 and 7 to the 3.  I can hit those in a similar fashion but the yardage doesn't fit my gap schedule, so they stay in the garage until I hit a swing glitch.  Then they came back out until I fix it.

I put the 3 wood in the beginning of last season and had great success with it. Tried numerous hybrids and hated all of them. Used a Ping driving iron for a while but needed more height coming into the greens. 7 wood was offered to me by a member here and I jumped at it. Love the adams line. I personally believe that they took TM to the next level.

Like the irons   I am currently hitting a similar set same vintage TP CBs--- Basically sorta the same irons with the same soles--- Those old Adams are great woods I had the 16* and 19*--- I hit them good but found out I hit the old V-Steels better---- BTW Your work area ain't all that bad you ought to see the clutter in my shop trust me it is 10X worse

I was looking at the CBs but this set popped up. I’m extremely happy with them. The woods are amazing. I hit them better than I ever hit the V Steel which is crazy to think. 
 

The work area is in shambles right now. Here in PA I put the clubs “away” weeks ago, cleaned up the workbench area and started getting set up for ski season.  Yesterday was 60 and next week will be in the high 40s low 50s… clubs are back out. One of those crazy years lol.

Love those Tour Preferred MC’s! I had a combo set of MC/MB’s last year and they were fantastic…wish I hadn’t sold them!

 

Very interesting theory about Adams taking TaylorMade to the next level. I haven’t been playing Golf long enough to have played any Adams clubs or know their history too in-depth, but seeing their previous clubs, the tech included in TM woods/hybrids looks like it had a major influence for sure.

I ended up with mine on a bulk trade deal------ I liked the shape of the heads--- They had the Steelfiber shafts. They had not been hit much and I do not believe the 5 and 6 irons had ever been hit. I did the research on Ironfinder etc in fact had to look hard at first to tell the difference in the models==== I was actually looking for a set like yours with graphite shafts or a set of R-9s. I experimented for a year with that set and finally put them into play-- They are a world apart from the Blade Macgregors I am used to playing.  I am liking them more and more and I have basically put out of my head the TP MCs  or R-9s because I hit them so good.

 

Was darn near 80* here in Coastal SC yesterday-- A cold front and rain moved in last night--- 57* now wet and raw with wind. Yep this is a crazy year

Since ski season is now over for me, it was time to break out the clubs and give a little grip test/waggle to get the feels back.  After looking at everything in my bag, bag included, I love it.  The only thing that will be changing is the grips.  Same brand, same model, just switching to black.  I'll be grabbing a Disney putter cover when we are down there in April.  Besides that... I'm good for 2022!!!
