If the situation were reversed and a strong woman player was kicked out due to the drunken antics of her husband, there is no doubt many would be advocating for divorce. That is a double standard. As I said before, OP deserves better, we all deserve better. OP needs to lose the zero and get with a hero.

Ever since covid I have noticed many more babes taking up the sport, you can surely find one or more of them to date who are likely more attractive than your current wife AND not likely to be drunken idiots.

You have no idea what the whole story is. Clearly, his wife drank too much, but she wouldn't be the first to do so at a country club event. You don't know if she said something, or laid hands on someone. You also don't know what led to the action she took. If this happened between two men, it is possible that a "boys will be boys" attitude would prevail. I don't understand why the club didn't just take action against the wife, and leave the OP alone. If this happened to my wife, losing a CC membership would not end our marriage. I'd be pissed, but I'd get over it.

Alright people... back when I posted this I had every intention to update you all with more details of what actually happened and what the end result was.  Well, unfortunately for you all, after a hearing we were reinstated (with some conditions).  It's unfortunate for you all b/c I don't feel comfortable sharing details of the situation as I have no doubt there are members at our club that also frequent golfwrx.   Had it not worked out for the good you would have gotten much more.  Which was what i was expecting.  But it turned out otherwise so apologies in advance.

 

So being vague as possible... I truly was being honest that the action that caused all this was nowhere near the level of some of what was suggested here.  There was no arguments, fights, damage, etc.  It was a situation where other members didn't like the behavior and reported it.  So even If i told you all the details you'd certainly be let down.  I believe we were casualties of the club going in a new direction and we were prime targets for them to set the tone moving forward to the rest of the membership.  There are new people in charge in positions of power and I think they wanted to send a message.  

 

As far as conditions and how it was resolved... there was a hearing, I gave a statement, they asked questions, and it sucked.  A period of time later we were given the option to stay with conditions or leave with no financial obligation.  We accepted the terms.  There is a suspension and some probationary restrictions for a period of time.  With that said, we will be welcomed back to full active status in time.  

 

Many of you will say that, you'd never stay at a club where you went through this.  Well, as i think i said earlier, I love the club and it's a perfect fit.  I can't afford to join another club right now anyways with how much initiations are going up so it was sort of like this or nothing.  At the end of the day we were in the wrong regardless and it doesn't change the fact the the club is the best fit for us.  We'll get over it.. and honestly... I have my guys I play with and I couldn't give 2 you know what's about what people think anyways.  Who's gonna really care down the road.  It was unfortunate, but I still love the place so... "I'm not F'n leaving"

 

I will also say this.... i will not reply again to this thread.  Just wanted to update those who may stumble upon this in the future.
