Ping Putters. What's new for 2022? Any info?

I've been very pleased with the feel of the Anser with the graphite shaft. It is not mushy, not too hard. You know when you've hit the right spot for sure.

If you go to a lighter grip it could bump of the feel of the head weight so it would feel more like 350g vs the 330g it feels like in your hands.

I went with this one for the tyne. Hard to find a mid mallet cover. I will still use the pld cover. I just like options.

Nice! They use FedEx Home Delivery.  Last time I ordered a head cover from them it took like 2 weeks to get here.  So, I am not holding my breath on getting it any time soon.  I picked up the fairway cover also for my 7 wood.  I am a sucker for the dancing ping man stuff.

I was just about to post this as I stumbled upon it on ping. Have a ds72 now but also had the prime tyne 4 and ping rarely sells the mid mallet only the full size mallet cover.

I got it yesterday. It’s a little loose on the ds72. The magnet is pretty small too. 
definately nothing special but it didn’t fall off any while I was playing yesterday

I got sent the wrong cover with my ds72 from ping. Mine came with the boot style cover that the anser comes with. Still waiting on the correct one to come in

i have the Anser and Anser 2. The Anser 2 feels/sounds softer. Not sure if it’s due to the weight distribution of the head or the graphite shaft in the Anser

Maybe the raw satin too?  Lacking the extra finish maybe?  I don't know.  I have the Tyne and am not typically picking a mallet.  If it doesn't work out, I will be getting that Anser 2.  Wouldn't be opposed to it feeling a little softer.

I have a Ping PLD Bruzer (circa 2019) that looks like it has 15-20* hang.

My PLD anser came in on Friday.  I saw it mentioned earlier but thought I would confirm for anybody interested in info for the graphite shaft on the anser.  It is a UST mamiya shaft.  I took stock grip off already and when i was replacing grip i can confirm there is a UST mamiya sticker on the graphite putter shaft.  Im assuming its similar or the same as the UST ALL IN putter shaft that just came out but info on the shaft is still sparse.

not sure if I am liking my PLD prime tyne. I think i may do better with a face balanced putter. Doesn't seem to work too well for my stroke. May list it on the BST soon.

would you expand on this comparison? My old gamer was the BB1 (the neon one), that I moved on to Spider X. Spider has been misbehaving a bit, so grabbed the Anser 2 which is nice to look at, but I'm just curious about the regular Anser. I just grabbed my old BB1 and was hitting them side by side inside with the other 2. Just checking out something new and would love your thoughts on which you prefer and why.

I liked the shape more with the Anser over the BB from what I remember, feel was about the same with firmness, I liked the graphite shaft they have in it makes it a little more head heavy which I prefer. Compared to the anser 2 if that's what you're wondering Slightly bigger profile I felt the anser 2 was a little softer I used it a few rounds but ultimately have liked the anser out of the three im a sucker for all black clubs. Definitely more forgiveness in that spider tho if thats what you need but  I think the anser is a beautiful putter and  I would pick it over the three

The TM has been great and putting has been great. No putter is going away. Definitely appreciate the take on the Anser vs the 2. Would probably add a top line to the Anser in white.

So Anser 2 slightly softer and bigger than Anser. But black is sexy and feels slightly head heavier because of the graphite. That sound about right?

Yeah you got it. My only downside to the black anser is no sightline or anything as that's what I'm used to but I didn't seem to aim much different

I know that PING has been having trouble keeping up with orders because of Covid, but that still means tons of guys choose PING. They've just made their PLD custom putter fitting in Scottsdale more accessible to the public. Completely milled heads, and they feel great. Lots of customization. If you want, you can even pay for them to ship you their fitting tool, you take a few strokes with it as it gathers data, and you send it back to them to analyze and suggest a custom putter just for you. It's the real deal.

Anyone change out the PING black graphite shaft for steel? I think I’d prefer this look. From what I understand it’s not possible to order this combination without going full custom?

3 rounds in with the Harwood and its staying in the bag.  The distance control and stability has been ridiculously good.
