Ping Putters. What's new for 2022? Any info?

Supposedly they are going to release a milled face - but their silence about release dates, preorder dates, etc is pushing me to look at Toulon.

Was hoping for a smooth face on that anser dang it.  Maybe even a sound slot.    The smooth face on the PLD Tyne I’ve hit is great.  Nice click at impact.  Never understand the want for no sound.  Makes speed control harder.

PING....snoozin and loozin. If they would have made an announcement, made pre-orders available, sent out test putters to their major accounts they may have got me to buy one, but they didn't so I went with the Toulon.

I preordered at my local Edwin watts on Thursday. I tried to see if they could find out how much it was to add a custom top line to it -I’m getting a ds-72 (through the wrx department). They called me Friday and said mine was already boxed up and ready to ship and they couldn’t add it on. 
 

im a little worried they may send me the wrong putter but it was in the Edwin watts system already even though it’s not on the website and the employees told me their rep had been in on Wednesday with 2 of the models to show them.

Tgw does this sometimes before they take orders for products. They have all 4 models the same way for now

So this is just the placeholder? Sold by Betti, trying to sell my H20, that Tyne looks really good. Everything seems to be about the shaft now though. I haven’t tried any of the iterations, do they really make a difference?

yes- just a place holder.  you can't find anything if you search for ping PLD on tgw's site but if you google ping pld on restrict it to site:tgw.com they show up.

 

they are definitely coming, the only question is when.  I saw the sku numbers on the computer at the shop I ordered from and they called ping to make the order for me because they couldn't order them on their system.   I spent some time on the putting green in the store while they waited for ping to call back to confirm everything.  

They called ping back later and made a loft adjustment i requested too.

 

And on the shafts- i have no idea.  The model im getting i think just has a regular steel shaft but one of the guys who posted above says the PLD black graphite is very stiff.

 

Also, a question came up I think on the top of the last page about the colors (red, blue and green) that are on the putters in the pdf.

Those are the colors from the Ping putting lab logo, not an indication of stroke type or anything else.  

 

Hopefully easy to remove because its the only thing on these im not a fan of.

Anyone know if the tyne head is milled 100% now?  They had issues with last year's hosel coming lose, hoping they've gone fully milled...
