Ping Putters. What's new for 2022? Any info?

Educated guess  - I’d try to get one when they first release. The way supply constraints are working right now once they run out of the first wave they will be harder to come by and will take longer to order.

They are supposed to be available in stores but ping has had issues with supply for a while now. Historically anytime I’ve ordered a new release from ping I’ve got it on or just after release date. 
I know a lot of people who preordered odyssey putters this year didn’t get them for a while after release date while there were plenty available in stores on release day. 
I didn’t want to risk missing out in case the supply is limited

definitely going to try and order that DS 72 as soon as they're announced a good amount of people seem to have pre ordered one already on here. I asked a couple local retailers in my area and no one around here seems to have a clue about these. Hopefully I can get my hands on of these if they are gonna end up a limited release

I had the opportunity to see the Anser 2 and Prime Tyne 4 models today.  Both look fantastic and feel great in hand.  Headcovers are dope too.

Is the tyne fully milled or is the hosel glued into head like the pld prime tyne?

Sorry, I didn't look closely at the hosel to head transition but from my recollection it appeared to be completely one-piece milled...just going from what I remember from the address view.  Don't quote me on that though.

I don't think these will be as limited as previously released PLD models. Just a premium milled putter line.

There was no mention of a "limited release" aspect to the PLD line by the PING rep.

He said PING has had lots of people pining for a return of the Redwood series which contributed (dunno to what extent) to their decision to bring PLD to retail.  I let him know I liked my black satin Redwood Anser but wished the headweight was a touch heavier so sold it long ago.  Also told him I love my Vault Anser 2 and Vault 2.0 Dale Anser and think they've been highly underrated from the start.

 

There are no plans for face milling custom options on the retail PLD line but PING WRX will probably still offer it.  Proprietary graphite shaft will only be available for the Anser models...but at no upcharge.

I ordered my PLD Anser. Can't wait. I'm excited to try it against my 2021 Anser, which I am actually loving right now. I'm excited to see how several of the PLD features compare, including the feel/sound of the face milling compared to the 2021 insert, the feel of the premium shaft in the PLD (the shaft in the 2021 feels super soft, which I think I am actually kind of digging), and then the lack of sight line on the flange of the PLD compraed to the sight line on the flange of the 2021 (and every other Anser style putter I've ever had, IIRC, for that matter). Can't wait! If all of those features actually feel like improvements to me, then watch out, because, as I said, I am really digging the 2021...

B60 is available vie a rep BUT at the $1290 price tag. I actually just ordered a original B60 w/ tungsten weights and face milling for $365. I thought I would give it a go just to see the work done on it plus I grew up with the B60 and have always loved the thin topline...

I'd bet dollars to donuts the Tyne 4 hosel will still be glued, but they'll have fixed the problem with the epoxy.  Milling the whole head and neck as a unit might be cost prohibitive so in this case attaching the hosel will probably be the best solution. From what I've read here the hosel was rusting inside and causing the bond to fail.  A company like Ping will have heard their customers of the previous high-price iteration and will fix it for this full(er) release.

Saw that. Didn't see that here before. Kind of weird. Seems like a whole different story/product. Here I was worrying about whether I can get a white sight line on the flange of my black Anser. Which I'm actually still wondering after watching that video....

I don't know what to make out of that twitter video.  obviously we all know about the 4 models coming to retail but maybe they are going to do their own toulon garage style setup?

That’s what I’m guessing. Expanding on the PLD Custom Experience/Marketing it now.

The video is intriguing to say the least.  Hopefully there will be an announcement today about what they are offering.  They have already done customisation in PLD1 but that was criticised for the single head on offer (which was a very limited run).  It does seem to be a different direction from the four models coming which we already know about...
