I really hope the DS72 can be ordered with just a topline and without a sight line in the flange.

I was told when I ordered it is not possible. I want a top line and flange line similar to hovland.

I’m pretty sure the PLD putters that are up for presale/retail now aren’t customizable other than the standard loft/length/lie. 
 

At least that’s my understanding from a rep. The pingpld website is going to offer the PLD “experience” moving forward. Which makes sense, up until now it’s been limited and not really marketed. Other than golf fanatics like WRX’rs not a lot of people even know that PLD customs are available.

Sightlines are what they are. With that being said you can order a PLD directly through local rep and get what you want BUT they are $1295.

It's seems like there are two lines coming. A PLD Milled line which is the stock retail version and the PLD Custom line which is a customizable version of the the PLD Milled, similar to the Toulon Garage. From the video they showed, it looks like finish, engraving/stamping and paintfill options.

 

I hope that there are more head styles available through the PLD Custom range and it's not just the Anser, Anser 2, DS72 and Tyne.

 

I just purchased a Tour Issue Taylormade Spider X with a plumbers neck yesterday before I seen the video. If they have an Anser D head, I will be regretting my Spider X Tour purchase hahah

Does anyone have any information on the graphite shaft in the stealth versions?  I am assuming if ping is finally offering a graphite shaft that is has been well thought out.

Im in the same Boat lol, I was dead set on getting the DS72 and having a hovland setup but seeing new photos and that black anser is slowly making its way into the number 1 spot, gorgeous.

Selfishly, I would have liked to see a middle ground between the Custom and Milled options for those WRXers among us that have been fitted and fitting themselves for years and know exactly what their specs are, so no need for the full blown customization treatment, but would atill

like to customize the milled head. Maybe pay like an extra $50-$100 to customize the Milled head in terms of paint fill, finish, stamping, alignment aid… Doesn’t look like that’s an option. Either Milled at $485 or full

blown fitting and customization at $1,295. Seems like there is a middle ground in there…

Yeah, same here - I don't want the fitting just let me spend my money on pretty putters!

I totally get this too and somewhat surprised they're not offering the online customization. However I can potentially see Ping's point of view that while people may want to throw money at them, Ping actually wants to get the right putter in yours hands to help you improve.

Yeah I signed up for the virtual fitting, I'll let everyone know how it goes!  It's still a few weeks away.  Its probably going to go like this - yes, that shiny blade is the best for my putting stroke, but go ahead and send me that patina tyne.

I emailed them 6 months ago and asked if the Kushin was available and they said yes.

 

Just email them and ask.
