It's almost like she made a faustian bargain.  2-3 seasons as simply the best in return, a decade of missed cuts, plunging world ranking, etc.

I simply have never seen such a loss of confidence as the case is with Yani.

@Golf Dino i agree with @Rapidcat... this comment w.r.t. Yani Tseng & a faustian bargain = quite thought-provoking!

https://golfweek.usatoday.com/2021/02/10/what-happened-to-yani-tseng-lpga-world-number-one/ ("What happened to Yani Tseng? It's complicated, but she's back.")

https://www.golfwrx.com/13147/the-next-tiger-woods-its-yani-tseng/ (published 2012)

Is there any other PGA/LPGA golfer whose rise & precipitous decline = comes to mind? (agree with @woahnelly w.r.t. David Duval)

Yani is akin to the female David Duval 😞

Is Rose Zhang still slummimg it at Stanford ?

I'm excited for Aussie Grace Kim to play on the Epson Tour soon. Covid slowed her down a bit, otherwise she'd likely advanced thru Q school this time around.

Luke Donald? #1 to #542?

Jason Day fell from #1 to #123 at the end of last year.

The entry to JTBC Classic in Carlsbad continues to get tougher and tougher:

Entries

Less than a week ago, Maddie Szeryk was in the field, but she's dropped to Reserve #3 since.  She'll drop more because many players including Jin Young Ko has yet to sign up.

Even the Monday Qualifier, which is limited to 48 players, is filling up quickly.

What am I missing here? Why is Gaby Lopez listed higher than she should be?

Inaccurate reporting...yet KPMG also does consulting and auditing.🤣

Unless the HS intern made the error transposing the info to lpga.com.

Again, Mollie is still doing nothing and won't hire a real professional to manage the lpga.com website.🤣

Thanks.

Damn....all these Asians look the same to me and I'm Chinese....WTH.🤣

I was on the receiving end of the above several times....it happened a bit at the airport when I saw someone kinda famous locally....(in the news industry or a politician)...I'd say hi...then they would chat with me as if they knew me.

The funniest was when I said hi to LPGA Portland tournament director Tom Maletis....he's a nice guy....I said hi to him and without a beat...Tom asked me how I was doing and about the family....I went along and chatted as if we were long time acquaintances. 🤣

tuned in last night, didn't understand what was going on as it seemed more "game-show" golf vs lpga golf... saw alison whitaker interviewing these players after a few shots, promptly fell asleep at midnight and turned off the tv 🤣...

Talk about "game show" golf.

Here's a recent screen golf skins game...China vs. S. Korea vs. Japan.

It's WORTH watching...why?...cause Korean SMOKESHOW Yoo is participating...hmmm.....Korea has the BEST looking team by a mile....Yoo's partner is SKY.

Hey...."Look Ma"....3 of 6 players are wearing knee highs.....thumbs down to China...no knee highs.

It's 3+ hrs...so just FF to Yoo...just sayin.

Unfortunately, there were a TON of really funny guys who no longer post....and they all KNEW the NICKNAMES without explanation nor complaint.

I wonder which WRX member(s) ratted out the Fashion thread and Nickname Glossary thread to get them locked down.

How can the Fashion thread with 1M+ views with NO OFFENSIVE.... on course only .....pictures get locked down?

I don't even think it was any KAREN's who complained about the thread.

Well, as a preview to hsbc, am still awake(!) and about to see how Grace Kim fares against Kirsten Rudgeley in the final hole… initial advantage to the amateur after the 1st shot actually but Grace Kim has a chance to close this out with a putt from a great 2nd shot… edit: Kim doesn’t know how to close it out to let me sleep 😴😂

Wth they go to a putt off to decide this? 😜

Karis Davidson got her card from 2021 Q-Series.  But as #49 player, she's a LPGA rookie in name only.  She probably won't play her first start until ShopRite after US Women's Open, the 14th tournament.  She could qualify for USWO, but she didn't need to be a LPGA member to do that.  The only advantage is Karis will pick up CME points if she makes cut at USWO.

Karis will miss 1st reshuffle completely; she needs to earn enough CME points in a few starts to change her status at the 2nd reshuffle.

Either through Epson Tour or Q-School, the road to LPGA isn't easy.

Maybe a hair off topic, but I have coverage of the collegiate Darius Rucker event running off the DVR and they have Emilia Migliaccio doing interviews and what little I've listened to (mostly have had it muted) she's done a fine job.  Maybe she can be a new young broadcast talent for women's golf since (IIRC) she's not going to pursue playing the tour.  I didn't know that she won this event in 2020, that plus having been a Curtis Cupper may have gotten her the gig.

Emilia has been the on-course reporter for a few events. I believe she was on the course at last year's U.S. Women's Amateur. I agree, she's quite talented.

Excelling at pro golf and making a living doing so is TOUGH....it's not for everyone...and Emilia gets it.

Emilia (top image) looks very much fellow Wake alumnus Jennifer Kupcho (bottom image):
