Do you club twirl?

I would say I twirl no more than once a round, usually it's when I smashed a perfect drive (by my standards)

 

My go to showboat move is when you absolutely pure it and don't even have to watch it land, pick up the tee and move aside lol

I do a reverse twirl meaning I have this habit of twirling the club from the grip as I'm walking up to hit a shot, just before I get set. Just something that's always kept me loose.

 

I also click my ski poles but only once and only if I'm dropping into something truly gnar.

No. The twirl is the golf equivalent of the bat flip of baseball. Twirls are for girls

Pretty sure I've never twirled a club in my life. Unless maybe I lost my grip on it and it happened to do a 360 on the way down. But one revolution is hardly a twirl, is it.

I used to play tennis a lot, like about as much as I play golf now, which is a lot, lol.  Anyway, I twirled the racquet before serves and while setting up for serve returns.  That has come over to golf, as I generally gives my clubs a twirl as I am walking up to the ball.  As to after the shot, I don't think so.  But I did learn last year at my city metro that I pose after I hit the ball.  I never really thought about it before.  My favorite part of this game is watching the ball flight of a shot I just pured.

i also twirl my ball retriever to get those unwanted leaves off.  the pine needles are the worst tho. as far as twirling a club, i have tried but honestly can't do it! i might sheath the club like a sword when nobody is around to see me do it

Twirls don’t happen naturally for most people. You actually have to practice at least a few times. So one day I’m at the range after watching JT with that epic twirl at during the PGA playoff. I’m messing around and tried the twirl. The club fell over and I thought to myself. What the hell and I doing. So I stopped practicing it.

hmmm, never really thought about it.  I do tend to prior to sleeving a club after practice. I practice just outside my bedroom door and usually take clubs one at a time, then sort of a subconcience thing, allow the club to twist loosely in my hand as I put it into the bag. Not sure that is considered a "twirl" or not.  BTW, I don't "twerk" either,

I twirl exclusively after a bad shot, typically after a shank or the classic chili dip.

Either sarcastically, or after I'm really happy with my shot. But also, why does it matter? Golf's such a mental game, if the twirl gets you going, go for it.

So I realized after my round today that when I twirl, it's after a bad shot. So hold pose on good shots (didn't happen today), and twirl after bad.

I only twirl when I am spinning out of the shot...but it can be near a full body thing not just a club. Not pretty to see and not falling down is considered a win.

Actually thought about it Sunday. Hit a perfect baby draw down a par 4 and the thought popped into my mind as I was admiring the ball flight. But then the moment passed and I realized it was too late. Plus by then I would have started thinking about the mechanics of the twirl and probably would have hit myself in the head with the club. 😂

You know what's kinda fun, doing the walk after your shot thing. I've hit a couple of really good drives on one hole in particular, and I saw the tee spinning in front of me. I start to walk after the tee because I know the shot should be good, but I still watch the ball flight until I get to the edge of the tee box/approximate area of my tee.

I tried doing it when hitting it out of bounds a couple of times, but lack the coordination. So I'd rather just not ...
