Probably Taylormade, hopefully she gets paid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If Lydia was a powerful (distance pro) I would agree more

BUT

Sung Hyun Park is spiraling downwards fast....and assuming her contract is near end of term....I could see the money available from SHP could be re-directed towards Lydia.

she was rolling her putter (pxg) pretty well from what it'll be interesting what's in her bag!

Lydia has always been a pretty good putter.....so she can adjust to something new given time.

Lydia did use several PXG model putters during her tenure with PXG.

She was putting well with the 2 Ball when she was with Cally.

Lydia has very good touch and speed on the greens and great hands for chipping.

she seemed to be pretty dialed in with her bag so it will be fun (or not) to watch.

Lydia is just so naturally talented as a golfer....IMO...she can adjust to any new gear given time.

Ya know you're good...when you are 15 and 16 years old and win the 2012 & 2013 CWO as an Am....against 2 very strong fields of LPGA pros...and at 16...Lydia also nearly won a major (Evian 2013) finishing 2nd to Suzann P.

Yeah they seem to gravitate towards the bombers.

Yes.....maybe not years ago when they had Creamer & Gulbis in their portfolio....but nowadays with SHP, Fassi and Charley in their LPGA stable.

Same can be generally said on the men's side....maybe not as much with Morikawa (and some others) ....though Collin is not short but average at 74th driving distance in 2021...but's he's a brilliant iron player.

And that's when it all started going downhill for her.  One may have nothing to do with the other but it's certainly a factor.  She's too good to not be winning like she used to so something needs to change.

Yep that was when it started going down hill for her--- Now I am not a PXG hater but sometimes certain brands fit certain players. Along with that certain fitters within that brand can fit for maximun efficency for that player.

I hope she goes back to Callaway, I got to meet her at the PGA show back when she was just coming on scene and she was a delightful young woman. But that was a different Callaway crew back then and most of them have left, so who knows what the current leadership is like.

Used to be with Callaway if not mistaken…left them in 2017 before 4 years with PXG…

Nothing wrong with going home, i have a kid just graduated from college with an MBA and he's coming home. That in the long run work out better for her.

She went back to that 2 Ball for the last 6 or 7 events in 2021.

Lydia signed a 14 club contract with PXG and has always used a PXG putter while with PXG and never returned to use a Cally 2 ball putter at the latter 1/3 of the 2021 season.

She was using some center shafted PXG putter.

I'm having some difficulty finding info on Lydia later in the season but here's some info for 2021.

https://www.golfwrx.com/652302/lydia-ko-witb-2021-april/

EDIT

Ok....I found a video of the 2021 Pelican...2nd to last event of the LPGA season.

Here's Lydia using a center shafted PXG putter.

Blame David Leadbetter for her downward spiral not the equipment... during the height of her early days, DL got her to change her swing to his A-Swing model.  After leaving DL she has been on a few different coaches trying to regain form and I believe currently with Sean Foley.  I hope for a great 2022 from her as she has a big influence on the ladies' game!

Why blame DL, did he do something to make her leave?

DL - nothing about PXG that I know.

He screwed with her successful swing.

Tried to make her an A swing model. Failure.

Perhaps Callaway did not want to pay top dollar for a low dollar game at that time.

Assuming she left on good terms with Cally, Lydia could return.

Wie & Pressel are no longer Cally ambassadors and I don't think Saso's new contract was overly expensive.

You would think they would have announced it this week, when they did everyone else. She's marquee and it was a great opportunity

I'm predicting Titleist (although I'm biased). Low key, not flashy, gets the job done.

I'm a huge fan of her - I hope she has a great year

Lydia's next event is Hilton which starts in just under 2 weeks...so there is still time....though I do agree that ya might have thought a new announcement would have been made by now....or is coming soon.

Lydia's profile has been removed from the PXG website since early??? this week.

Lydia is managed by The Death Star (IMG)...one of the best agents.

Lydia, her team and IMG would have in 2021 known what PXG's renewal offer was going to be and if not great...they would have been shopping the market.

Any prudent pro or any business decision....your homework is being done well in advance of any contract term expiry...keeping one's sales/opportunity funnels deep and wide.

IMO...the really lucrative OEM club endorsements for the women hasn't really been great in the last decade.

I think the OEM's are cautious, as they should be.

Lydia had a good season last year...but still only 1 win....prior...she had been struggling a bit for a few years of what people and herself...expected from her.

I don't think any OEM would want to sign a 3 year contract if 2021 was a flash in the pan season for Lydia.

I have liked Lydia since watching her live and winning at the 2012 CN CWO.

I had really not heard of her prior to the summer of 2012...but she was showcased well on GC...when she was a semi finalist at the USGA Girls Jr. in July and then won the USGA Women's Am in Aug.

The Girls Jr/ was stacked in 2012...with Lydia, Ariya, Alison Lee and Minjee all as semi finalists....all but Alison have become elite LPGA pros.

Alison played well in 2015..but has struggled since but played ok in 2021 to retain her 2022 LPGA full status.

FWIW...Alison Lee used to be part of Parson's Troop too.

I think @QuigleyDU nailed it. She'll rock whatever flatstick/wedges she wants.

If I'm reading this correctly....you are saying Lydia will rock/play well...with any new OEM flatstick/wedges she plays....obviously there will be a break-in period to get used to new clubs.

Yes, Lydia is very talented with her short game and will adjust well to new wedges and a putter in due time.

Tina is greedy.🤣

I think Lydia will have a full endorsement as they are more lucrative???...unless OEM doesn't offer a 14 club offering.

    • In-hand photos of 2023 TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus, Stealth 2, Stealth 2 HD drivers + fairways woods
Check out our front page launch stories here and here.

What you need to know: For the first time, carbon is the most prevalent material by volume in a TaylorMade driver, and more carbon equals better performance, says the company. Last year, TaylorMade debuted a 60X Carbon Twist Face. With TaylorMade Stealth 2, engineers are bringing carbon to more of the golf club — and unveiling a new-and-improved Carbon Twist Face in the process. Stealth 2 Plus (low spin, most workable) Stealth 2, and Stealth 2 HD (draw bias, high launch, most forgiving) drivers make up the Stealth 2 family.

      Stealth 2 HD

What you need to know: Breakthrough movable weight technologies and versatile designs are the hallmarks of the 2023 TaylorMade Stealth 2 fairway woods. Stealth 2 Plus is branded as “three fairway woods in one” owing to the unique performance characteristics afforded by the 50-gram sole weight. Stealth 2 features a slightly lower profile 3D carbon crown than Stealth. This moves CG down and away from the toe with more weight in the rear of the club for higher launch and MOI. Ultra-high MOI Stealth 2 HD features an oversized 200cc head and low-profile sole, creating an easy-to-hit, draw-biased club.
