Help with PW to GW gap

I recently picked up a set of Srixon ZX5 irons to replace my Mizuno JPX 919 Forged iron set.  The PW on the Srixon’s is 2 degrees stronger than the previous Mizuno’s making close to a 25 yard gap between the 44* PW and my 50* CBX Zipcore Gap Wedge.  Need help determining if it makes more sense to bend the PW weaker or bend the gap wedge strong to 48*.  Thanks in advance

What’s the gap to the 9 iron?  
 

I’d consider bending them one degree each towards the middle if the 9 iron gap would still be good 

 

That would be about 18-20yd gap PW-GW…more manageable than 25 for sure.  
 

If the 9 iron gap can spare more, bend the PW 2° and the GW 1°…now you’re down to 15 or 16 yd to GW

PW-9i is only about 10 yards (130-140) so that idea of PW 2*, GW1* sounds good pretty good to me thanks for the suggestion

The one thing to keep in mind with Srixon clubs is the v-sole and bounce of your PW. Bending it weak will add the same amount of bounce. Not sure if you have any issues with that but I have a shallow delivery and adding more bounce to a Srixon PW wouldn't work for me.

Maybe add the 46° CBX wedge as a 2nd GW?

 

More expensive than bending,  but ultimately more successful if it gives you consistent gaps across the entire bag.

Remember when you change loft you also change bounce and offset a bit. So it’s not a ton but I often have my wedges bent when I get different irons for gapping reasons but try and stick with 1 degree bends and typically increase lift where possible adding a little bounce for the softer conditions I play.

I would add the Zx5 A wedge. It's also 50 degrees, but I'm sure the launch is hotter than the cbx wedge...that would probably fill the gap better...

That was my solution when I got newer clubs.  Always played a classic loft set until recently and the 48' PW was fine with my 52 GW, but now that it's 46, I just went with the set's 51 AW, which is 10 yards longer than my old 52.

Bend the PW to 45*

If your gapping between the 9i & PW is good, bend the GW.  But if your PW is too close to the 9i, bend it.
