Yeah not an expert on ping models, thanks for clarifying!

No worries it does look very similar to a wide Anser 2.

I think it would depend on the price point. Not sure if the Vault line is a huge seller, I think their 2021 line is they're best seller and it's too techy for some at that price point. What was that limited edition Tyne priced at? it was under WRX numbers if I recall.

Personally, I don't think could sell (or sell well) a $399-499 putter at a bricks and mortar store or pro shop.

Then they should just sell it through their distributors online, even without a fitting. These are too nice not to have widely available.

That B60 is the stuff dreams are made of. Which is good, because that's the only place I'll be seeing it.

It looks awesome. The softer lines kind of remind me of the old school B60s, they look a bit different than the various TR and Vault 2.0 versions.

Regardless, I'd love the one pictured and better yet, a blacked out version with a white site line. Damn!

I also would love to see these in a store near me, but aren't the materials and manufacturing process so costly that no retailer would carry them as a shelf item?

These are milled putters made from 303 stainless or carbon steel. If a retailer is carrying Scotty's or Bettinardi's, there's no reason from a materials or manufacturing perspective why they could not carry the Pings.

Question is more from a selling standpoint. Will the public buy them? Not sure. In my opinion, Ping has been screwing the pooch on their putter releases for some time. Would a $400 - $450 Ping putter sell to the general public?

That said, does boggle my mind that Ping has not offered these (or a similar version) up to select accounts yet.

As always, these are stunning putters and put Ping's retail efforts to shame.

Unusual to see the "303" on the B60 - not often Ping states materials on a clubhead.  Redwood maybe the last time?

Also interesting that the B60 is the only one that doesn’t say PLD on it.

The optimist in me hopes that maybe that’s an indication on a new retail line perhaps?

Ping is not afraid of carbon steel.  Who else?

  • Haha 1

- Something that continues to go long off the tee in the fairway
- Something that is a fairway finder when needed and long
- Something that high, consistent and helps with par 5’s
-  Something to help with long par3’s and short par 4’s

-  Something metal, lots of them and go the gaps I need
- Something metal, 2x of them and helps me 120y and in
- Putters - limited rotation because I cannot afford misses

Golf is what you make of it.  Play grateful and accepting. We are all lucky to have it.

Rather than expecting lets all try and appreciate instead.

They are available and you can even get them from GolfWorks....

They've been backordered for like a year, though. Ping is currently not selling any grips through third parties, though they'll put a grip on if you send them your putter.

What I would love, LOVE to see is Ping offer exact replicas of their classic putters in modern weighting. So for example, a cast Anser 4 with a plain face and sole and the zip code on the back, weighing in 350ish grams. And priced accordingly (let's say $200!). Why wouldn't those sell?

The PP58 Midsize Cord is in stock at GolfWorks Canada. I ordered a non Corded one a few months ago and I recieved it with any backorders.

Actually ordering one of these would cost a fortune right? If they offered these at a price in line with Scotty’s they’d do extremely well.

Yeah some people always say they are available but it’s like 1500 or something.
absurd that ping of all companies doesn’t have a high quality milled line in mass production.  Not just one off custom

Truly insane price point. They really do need a milled line again like these, it’s like they’ve completely conceded the top shelf putter market to Scotty.

No brand is afraid of carbon steel. The issue is you put carbon steel putters out in retail, folks aren’t aware of the care needed to take care these putters, then come back to complain about brand.

When was the last time you saw a Cameron Tour issue that wasn't specifically requested by a pro?

Least Ping and Betti have carbon retail and releases.  They wouldn't sell if people didn't know they will rust if you don't oil.

FYI you can get these from PING, they sell them directly. Just have to go through the PLD process which is actually a really great experience. But they aren't cheap. I have one, they are incredible.

Ping shouldn't make it that hard to get a putter.

I don't consider calling them all that hard. I'm just glad they do it at all, most major manufacturers don't even give you the option of working with their crew and making you whatever you want, basically treating you like their professional staff players. Try calling TM and telling them you want to work with Kia Ma to get a custom milled putter.

I would agree but I think the problem is I don't need to talk to the top putter guy at Ping just to order a 34 inch PLD Anser.

And we have a case study in the Tyne released at just north of $400 "retail" which sold out everywhere. The PLD line doesn't have to cost over a $G.
