Hybrids don‘t show in WITB

This Sony Open reminded me of it: in the play-off on 18, Hideki chose the Hybrid to drive the ball perfectly into the leg and then produced a marvelous 3 wood shot. 
 

The Hybrid does not show in the WITB as does not Mat Kuchar’s or from others. Why is that? There is nothing wrong with a Hybrid in the bag.

Didn't hit a hybrid according to the news reports I've seen, but I didn't see the tee shot.

Almost certain Hideki hit a 5 wood off the tee. Either that or both my eyes and the announcers on tv were lying to me...

Sky reported it as a Hybrid as did the Golfchannel and also looked like a Hybrid to me …

It was the Cobra RADspeed Tour 5W. Very small head and very deep face in person. From the TV tower/telecast it would look like a hybrid to the broadcaster. Seem like any club they aren't' 100% positive on ( Driver/3W) they just auto default to "hybrid" language.

alright then. Really looked like a Hybrid to me and so said the Commentator on Sky.

Was a 5 wood. Not hybrid. He carry’s a 3 iron or 5 wood depending on course.  Has a 10TX addi In the 5 wood I believe.

Commentators will also tell you that they're hitting a 9 iron from 190 when it's really a 7 iron..... they're not really the most reliable source.

So the on course reporter gets a signal from the player's caddy indicating which club they are hitting.  I'm not saying we all fib a bit, but some on course reporters were given better information than others.  Not making a judgment statement......I'm just saying.........😇
